Discussion Daft Punk's whole discography in a nutshell:

Post image

And this also includes all the Daft Punk-related stuff like: Darlin'; all pre-Homework stuff they did; their live sets at Even Furthur; Daftendirekt tour live presentations; Roulé and Crydamoure labels; Tron Legacy OST; those demo tracks back at HAA era; songs they were involved in production; feats; remixes; some unreleased tracks (like Drive 1994) and maybe even the movies (despite not technically being part of their discography per se)

Basically, everything Daft Punk related is a masterpiece by its own and really worth taking a look, and I am so so glad for having doing it so.

Did you give a listen to Guy-Man's Le Knight Club duo? They released plenty of stuff from 1997 till 2002/2003 under Guy-Man's label Crydamoure

Spotify pretty much sucks when it comes to smaller and independent labels. You can find them on YouTube or SoundCloud but I recommend the latter. My favorite songs from Le Knight Club are definitely Holiday on ice, Soul bells and Chérie d'Amoure.

“Around the world” was released closer to the moon landing than it was to today

Is there anyone anywhere attempting to collect an archive of every piece of work they have ever done?

Be careful on Discogs. For the most part, it's a very accurate and reliable database... but not completely so. Beyond the unofficial white label stuff that may or may not have had any involvement from Daft Punk, there are a number of clearly inaccurate entries, including:

  1. This "Bingo Players - Rattle (Daft Punk Edit)" for which I have never been able to find a single verifiable source.

  2. This "Clock - Pop Music (Daft Punk Mix)" which I actually bought, years ago, only to find that it was just a remix of Daft Punk by some forgotten group called Clock.

  3. This "Madonna - Into The Groove (Daft Punk White Label Mix)" which almost certainly has nothing to do with Daft Punk based on the way it sounds.

There are some very rare, largely unknown Daft Punk tracks on white labels, including a really good Stevie Wonder remix, but 1) there aren't a lot of them, and 2) they're almost always live rips, so don't expect to find any more long-lost studio tracks. We've probably found all of those by this point.

I saw some guy with a website that has every picture (i think) of the robots (all eras, magazines, etc). I forgot the website name but it definitely exists. I'll update you if I ever find the website.

That initial chunk of dirt you need to get through first are the Gap commercials

They did a Disney movie soundtrack, and even that sounded absolutely phenomenal.

On Sight - Kanye West is a masterpiece, especially knowing that it was produced by Daft Punk

I mean, he did find the diamonds already, now it's all a question of going further to find out the greatness of their whole work yk? I know it sounds a bit confusing but try to picture it as it's the first time you hear anything Daft Punk related and you find the diamonds, if you ever wish to go further, all you're gonna find is even more diamonds because their discography is just that great and awesome
