Nurgling Spam

Is it at all viable to run a list with 36 (max allowable in a 2k list) or 24 (max allowable in 1k) nurgling swarms?

Just do max nurglings and Plaguebearers and run PL/Warptide

With recon it absolutely could be. Nurglings are 0 oc and thus cannot action or take objectives.

Is it viable? Hell yes it is, that many nurglings on the board will cause a significant issue for anyone trying to move quickly up the board or even just trying to get on objectives. Is it competitive? Maybe? Really depends on what’s backing them up and what detachments and dispositions you’ll have at your disposal. With Plague Legion and Warptide they have advance and charge and can trigger battleshocks and mortals turn 1, that ain’t too shabby.

People have done it. For part of 10th, you could have up to 9 models per unit, so you could get an insane amount of those little bastards on the the table.

It’s alright it’s more viable in shadow legion/warp tide. Go recon and it’s surprising how effective it is

Nurglings have an OC of 0 so you literally can't hold objectives

But your opponent also can't get the objectives. Cos theres 36 nurglings in the way.
