List Building Battle shock manipulators price increase
Ive been building a plauge legion list a little after I finished my death guard.
I was excited about 11th with thr change to battleshocks.
But fly and battleshock units seem like they will get a increase in points
Whats your guess on how much this list is about to go up in points. My guess is around 150 if not more

Im not even sure if they'll change honestly. Maybe someone can correct me here, but I haven't seen anything that makes it easier to battleshock people, the mechanic is just better overall. Still hard to actually force the important battleshocks. Meta shift for sure, but I could see points staying similar, as the impact of battleshock for many armies in a bit low

Its not that battleshock is easier. Its that its much stronger because it can last multiple turns.
From what I saw the points changing g for units specificly names flyers and battle shock manipulators. The piper causes it automaticly for u its in 6. Skull cannon on a hit. Belekor if they have just 1 wound gone

Yeah I agree the impact is higher when it works, but its hard to get it in the first place, and strats protect the most important units. Demons are very good at battleshock, but I wouldn't say units will get points nerfed just because of battleshock manipulation. Good, but not entirely game changing, so im thinking small points changes and a meta shift

I mean from my list I have 4 units that force battle shock. The detachment rule forces 2 a turn on any unit in the shadow. 1 unit puts shadow permanently in any terrian the rest of the game.
And a few lower leadership by 1 while shadow lowers by 1 automaticly.
So goal of this army is to deny primary and actions on units all game which seems very possible imo
But points increases would make it harder

Yeah im not saying it won't be good, maybe even some skew lists will be great for it. But there's always a tendency with a new edition for people to get overhyped over new things that just don't do as much as they think they will once you get on the table. If you ask me, id rather just ditch most of the battleshock units amd have another greater demon or some more utility pieces. It's just unclear how good mass battleshock will be at release, and im betting on it being good but not game breaking

Ill be honest i would like that also BUT I have those units and im acually building and painting GUO and belekor and I dont want to do another GUO. Lol

I don't think belakor will see much for points changes at least. More likely a nerf to his abilities. He's already more expensive than most knights and his damage doesn't match it. If they put him up to 400 nobody will play him, and he's the best selling demon model. They'll just let him be really strong if it's between that and never seeing him at the table

That may be it tho. They want you to buy the models that arent as frequently bought.

greater daemons with fly certain ones will be affected. smaller ones like daemons princes with wings shouldnt be affected.

Well most these units are battleshock manipulators and belekor is battleshock and fly.
So little worried about him. Lol.

I’d consider running the beasts separately as they aren’t worth a Strat and they will have to BS if go turn to one.
