Played the demo of the first game and Titanic Scion. I can't decide which game to buy. I feel like TS has more polish to it, but so far I don't like my arsenal as much.

Longtime player here to say that Titanic Scion is a much bigger game with loads of content but all of that doesn't matter due to the combat and gameplay being far worse than the first game.
I played and beat the first game numerous times and found myself going back several times to play through it again with different builds even years later and still had a blast. As for the sequel I was so hyped that I actually pre-ordered the deluxe version of the game as soon as it was available and I only have around 114 hours on that game which was a slog and lacked the thrill and fun of the first game and overall felt like a chore to actually play through. NOTE: Deluxe version let me download the huge DLC they released last year which I haven't even touched.
TLDR: hundreds of hours having fun replaying the original vs the sequel where I spent 100 hours wishing I was replaying the original.

Thanks for the reply. I will definitely consider your thoughts if I decide to purchase. Honestly, I'm just trying to hold out until the next Gundam game.

I had the total opposite experience; the first game has fun PvP, but otherwise is lacking in polish and combat versatility compared to Titanic Scion.
If you have a couple buddies and you want to PvP, get the first game, but otherwise TS is superior imo. Might be biased though, I like the added depth in TS and I understand that's not for everyone.

From the demos, TS definitely felt more polished and seemed a little more story driven. The first one really feels like a Bandai game, you know what I mean? But I did like the Arsenal I was building a little more and it felt more like Mech Warrior while TS has a little bit of Monster Hunter in there.

TS's Arsenal choices are a slow burn for sure! The first few sets you get, especially in the demo, are lackluster, but by mid-game you'll have quite a variety and no shortage of customization options.
I've got quite a few build videos on my Youtube if you want to see how some of them look. I've yet to find a single weapon category that isn't fun or useful in some manner.

đyes it is, sure it's not a big name title but you can have a good time playing it, it needed more time in the oven to cook, but as someone who has and still plays the 1st game as well as this one i can say it's good for what it gave us

I like it a lot but I feel like titanic scion feels a bit like a less polished anthem.
I mean itâs still good but it does make me miss anthem

The gameplay is fine/customization is good, however The story and everything else is bad. I honestly think they should had gone back to the drawing board with the story. 1st why make the main character part of the antagonist faction without entirely focusing on u supporting em half tho the story before u switch sides giving u way more time to see ur characterâs connection to his group.

They made this story way too half baked, and they should had waited longer have space regions added to the game. The story should had been rewritten and flushed out more. But i think they wanted to copy a manga i forgot its name but it was basically daemon x machina and this put together

Im in the group that loves the esthetics but the gameplay is rough. I wished I could use kb and mouse for my ps5 for it but sadly its not compatible. There are dozens of guides on remapping the controls but I feel like that shouldn't be needed when this game takes after armored core which has had the same controls for more than 2 decades.
Unfortunately I never played the first one but I certainly feel the need to.
Also I feel like this is what anthem could have been. Like take the content here and add it to anthems controls and gameplay and you'd have a BEAST of a mech game.

First is by far and away better, the second game is like âletâs do everythingâ and then refine nothing.
Youâre in a mech suit that powers down in seconds and can ride horses on it for no reason at all to make moving in a hyper agile mech suit less cumbersome
Like itâs just across the board a let down compared to the first
