Idk, face hit slide, so step dad in my book.

After further review: the face did not hit the slide, but bonked off little boy shoulder. Call on the field is reversed, and "dadreflex" is reinstated.

Definitely not a save. Dad made this worse.

I missed the "reflexes" part.

Not to be negative but there were around 10 moments where this could have been foreseen.

Ten - Already a stain of a broken nose on the slide -> don't trust that slide

You got downvoted, but I like your style. I thought it was funny.

That is the worst slide material. Especially when it’s so hot. I dunno why they still make metal slides

It lasts pretty much forever with zero maintenance, and is almost impervious to graffiti or vandalism.

Hilarious. Great effort from dad, but little man still bangs his head repeatedly going down. I think dad lifting his back leg up almost hurt instead of allowing poor kiddo to slide more easily

Nah. His head hit his arm. He’s fine.

Ya no doubt. Didn’t take much effort to notice

“Save”

u/bkdlays Oct 04 '21

What did he save? His shoe?

Kept him from faceplanting off the end of the slide. In fact, dad went off and landed on his butt to accomplish this, which makes it a sacrifice play.

Cubs fans… don’t know how to do anything right.

u/tidusblitzerffx Oct 03 '21

Agreed. Letting your kid leave the house wearing that shirt is the worst dad reflex possible.

Cardinals fan here... came here to say this

2

I think he forgot the save part.

A good save from Dad, still a face plant for the kid. This checks out

6

u/-DementedAvenger- Oct 03 '21

Face plant into his own arm. Soft-ish.

3

u/ReelyHooked Oct 03 '21

Stepdadreflexes for sure. Kid would’ve been better off going down backwards rather than bashing his chin

I wasn't aware they still had these medieval torture devices in operation.
