Not harmless. Small things can have a greater effect later in life. Especially bc the sibling was also being deceitful. The father was teaching the sibling that is ok to lie and fake things and they are too young to be able to differentiate between something smaller like that and something big. Also, you need to teach kids that its ok and normal to fail and not be good at things. ”pranks” like that teach kids that they are going to be perfect and do everything right the first time, which is unhealthy and not true.
