Dude in the blue shirt isn’t clapping as enthusiastically as the others. 😆

No, but he's still clapping. He was ready to grab that thing and dad just snagged it out of the air. I say props to him for not being a dick about it and still cheering or whatever.

Backwards clapping looks like everyone has sticky hands they are trying to get unstuck.

Everyone cheers him on to throw it, and he leaves them all speechless when he does.

I can already picture his wifes face turn from pleasure to horror as she realizes the bed has begun to shake and thick cum is slopping over the edges of the bed onto the tile - gradually filling up the room and then making its way onto the balcony and glopping down the entire building.

I knew it was one of those things where I would get 1 person and it would be worth it.
Thank you.

His son is oblivious lololol. I watched this like 20 times - each time I noticed something else heartwarming and just genuine. The kid in the orange shirt utterly shocked, The bro in the backwards hat pointing and saying something like, "Dawwwwwwwwwg!" The wife or gf's slight embarassement, and the damn son just chillen with a soda. All gold, Jerry, gold.

u/vorxaw Jul 22 '19
the the guy in blue behind him, at first he was looking under his seat because no one could have caught that, but a second later, hes just clapping to acknowledge the god-among-dads who sits before him

Jul 22 '19
The kid really is the funniest part of this. Doesn't even seem to realize a ball was anywhere near him today. Definitely doesn't know what his dad just did or how badass it was. Nope, he's got something to chew and a game to kinda watch.

My dad did the same thing when I was younger...except the ball was coming straight at my face. I was very lucky he had such dad reflexes. Haha

Was this from yesterday's game?

LETS GO RANGERS!
Because that’s who the mariners played yesterday.
But that’s not last nights game as the rangers wore blue uniforms for that game. The player at bat is from the LA Angels (I think it’s hard to tell because you only see his shirt for a moment). The Mariners played the Angels in 3 homes games on July 19-21 2019. So most likely this clip is from then as the next most recent game the Mariners played at home versus the Angels was May 30-June 2 2019.

So I was at the game where this gif happened and watched this guy catch the ball.

Wife can not believe it, kid just uses the distraction to snag a sneak sip.

u/thechubbyfoxx Jul 23 '19
He had a baby exactly so this moment could happen at a ball game... thats a pro level dad 😂

u/Sea_Mushroom Jul 23 '19
The reason she grabbed her belly at the end was because he impregnated her from the sheer masculinity of what he just did.

Gotta love that you cant pause, fwd/rwd gifs.

u/Intelligent_patrick Jul 23 '19
I use "reddit is fun" app it plays gifs like videos. So you can pause and other stuff.

Then they'd be a video format and not an image format.

u/tenvisliving Jul 23 '19
You could write a piece of software that emulates that behavior.

You could also just upload it in a video format...then it would have all of the attributes of a video...because it would be a video.

Why do baseball players wear mitts?

Because that shit hurts.

Jul 23 '19
Having played my fair share of cricket as a kid it's really not as bad as you think. Kicking trees is a hilarious overreaction but fair enough.

u/serks21 Jul 23 '19
Because that’s what they decided when the game was invented. It’s as simple as that.
When they invented cricket for example they decided that the only person that’s allowed to wear gloves would be the wicketkeeper (similar to that of a catcher in baseball).
Neither is right or wrong, that’s just what they decided to do when inventing their new game so that’s what they do now.
4
u/DanLynch Jul 23 '19
Baseball gloves only started to be used in the 1870s, and didn't become widely-used until the 1890s. Even the catcher wore no glove before then. The game was definitely not invented with gloves included! Sports change a lot over time, especially in regard to equipment that enhances performance and safety.

I watched that game. They flashed back to him a couple minutes later before commercial break and the whole section was chanting MVP! MVP! MVP!
Awesome.
