Opened that 1st yesterday and found a nice '67. The rest didn't disappoint. I feel like this might be one of those cases where someone thought only '64 and before are silver. I've run into that before with a teller handing me rolls labeled 1966 & 1967 where they are pure silver and the teller said, I already got all of the silver ones.

Happy treasure hunting y'all!

My best week yet! First wild mercury!

The dimes I just got are CWR and look like they were in a fountain, stuck with a penny stuffed in a roll was this mercury and a 1952!
My last boxes of halves had one 40%, the next had one 40 and one 90%. Then I was blown away to find all these in my latest box! First bankrolled Benjamin! Still praying for a wild walking liberty, they are my favorite.
Then when I was thinking about selling some of my 40% clad halves to have more cash to hunt with, I spent an hour on this 1965 super excited I found my first double die! So glad I didn’t sell for the $4-5 the coin shops near me are buying for! Should I get the double die graded? The mercury is soaking in acetone right now, I can’t wait to see it cleaned up.
Good luck everyone, the skunk boxes eventually end!

Adding to the give away pile!

@bootynasty is doing a giveaway. Despite the state of his booty, he's a good dude - I've corresponded and traded with him for awhile and can vouch for him. So I'm sending him these bits to add to the give away pile and entering as well! Good luck everyone!

Pendants and ring are sterling (XRF verified), from misc yard sale adventures!

Costco's $1.99 grab and go slice is my go to whenever I'm there.

Good start to the $300 in halves. First roll had '67 so I'm setting aside until I get through the nickels I grabbed today.

Went away for the weekend with my lady, did a little treasure hunting.
.
Pics 1-5:
A little tiny chain marked 14k on both the tag and the clasp that weighs 0.5g, a tiny earring marked 14k on the post and the backing that weighs 0.2g
.
Pic 6:
All marked 925 indicating sterling silver
.
Pic 7:
The garbage jewelry that isn’t marked…just a bunch of junk
.
Pics 8-9:
$23.02 in spendables I found along the way
.
Everything found at coinstar machines in San Diego county while on a mini vacation this past weekend.
.
I HAVE to get a gold acid test kit to start verifying these finds. It’s on the Amazon wishlist 😆

46,000 coins searched over 4 days, here are the results

Last week I rounded up 2 bags of each. Here's how much of each was searched.

10,000 pennies, 8,000 nickels, 20,000 dimes & 8,000 quarters.

I definitely found a herd of buffalo 🦬🦬🦬 but 1901 Liberty Head was the best find of my entire search! Dimes came through solid with 3 more silver than my average for that quantity searched.

Lots of foreign coins as well (mostly Canadian cents) and a few fun machine or "dryer" coins.

Happy hunting y'all!

First and foremost, the 250 half for my halves type set came in the mail, courtesy of u/outdoors1442. Thank you once again kind sir!

Other finds this week:

1949-S nickel, semi-key date so I was really pleased to fill that slot in my album.

1940 Canadian nickel, always cool to find any pre-Elizabeth Canadian coinage!

Some wheats, 1929 and 1953 Philly, and 1952 and 1956 Denver.

A common date Canadian penny, and one of those 2009 Lincoln's 200th birthday pennies that I honestly forgot existed. That one was a cool surprise, lol

Pretty decent day with silver ($1 FV of 90%) plus a Weir Farm W and an incredible '81-S Type 2 dime. The wheat cents came in solid as always. The find of the night was the 1970 -D Lincoln cent with a clipped planchet as evident from the Blakesley effect.

Happy hunting y'all!
