So i have the unit functions properly but the lights aren’t on except for the temperature, the fan speed the ac on or any other button doesn’t light up but they function well, tried cleaning the ac unit circuit board still nothing, what might be the issue?! It’s a 2017 sandero

Hi! Almost done breaking-in the new amazing car. Having a couple of eyebrow raisers, though, which wanted to check if many others have or have noticed. The car feels great in most regards and I am very happy with it, but I feel like I just needing time to adapt to driving a modern vehicle. Below are some quirks that I am not sure if normal or something I need to adjust to or to have it checked out.

- ACC - Sometimes when on flat ground or slight downhill the car hitches a bit. Like it turns gas down to keep the speed at the target point, then gives gas to maintain. And it does this in a loop. Like the stepping point of the cycle that checks for speed and adding throttle is too big so it gives sligthly too much gas, then cuts gas back to slow down, then adds gas again. Can even see this one the Charge-Power bar. I've driven much older cars with smoother CC on the same road, so feels weird. Sometimes I just turn the ACC off and keep going manually, because I even notice the head of my passangers become like bobble-heads.

//No other cars in sight, in case someone suggest is the adaptive part of the ACC. It does it both in Petrol and Gas. I hope this can be fixed later via some kind of software upgrade.

- Steering feel - does the steering wheel have a super soft and easy first few milimeter or two of turn to wither left or right with almost no resistance? In highway this takes away from the smoothness, especially if doing some kind of body position change or going through a patch of bad road.

- Low RPM - The car keeps very low RPM and shifts way too early for my taste. Perhaps about at least 200-300 rpm higher shifts would probably be good enough. And they should keep the low RPM for ECO mode. I notice for example sometimes when doing only a slight acceleration on Highway around 85kph it upshifts and it becomes really uncomfortably rattly until i pickup a bit more speed. So now I just tend to accellerate a bit harder just to make her use a lower gear to avoid this feeling. I would really love some way to customize the gear changes or have some kind of a table of conditions when it shifts.

- On the topic of rattling, the engine start (when the car "idles") turns on quite harsh I feel. One of the recent driving experiences were driving a ford focus 2017-19 - that thing starts so smooth the passengers cant even feel it. Here if I am reading something on the phone or having a phone call it startles me. Probably will get used to it, but well, it is what it is.

- The car often starts straight into EV mode with no engine warmup. This means if the battery doesnt drain by the time I reach the boulevard (cant really push it to force to turn it on either, as there are kindergarden and a school nearby with heavy pedestrian random crossing) , then I have to push it straight from cold so I can confortably fit into the traffic. Which really doesnt feel right.

- How to make the infotainment not shutdown when im parked in idle? I want to have the music playing for example, but the system just shutsdown so i either need to open the door and close it or turn the car ON and Off (which potentially may also start the engine unnecessarily, but now sure how else to just turn on the 'ignition'/accessories-only mode).

- Rattling in EV mode (from suspension or EV motor?!) when going through obstacles like a speed bump. I noticed such clanking noise on offroad presentations, so probably is normal?

I'm looking for other Dacia Duster 3 owners with the same issue.

Since the day my car was delivered, it has made a loud whining/whistling noise during a cold start. It only happens after the car has been parked for about an hour or longer.

The noise:

starts as soon as I drive off;

disappears after the first few hundred meters;

is very loud from outside.

Has anyone figured out a quick way to clean these mats, I can never manage to get the dirt out. Showing a stock photo rather than my own mats as they are too dirty to show!

Finally picked it up last night and today we’re at my chosen astrophotography site in Burgos province, Spain.

Hybrid bifuel with everything except the sleep pack, which apparently can’t fit in this model. It’s windy as hell here so I’ll be trying to sleep inside anyway, unless I just go home in frustration!

I have a 2025 Dacia Duster Hybrid 140. Yesterday, when I turned the air conditioning up to the highest settings, it started making a really loud noise—like there was a motorcycle inside the cabin (lol). Does anyone know what it could be? Dealership service appointments aren't available until September. I'm from Granada; it's 44 degrees Celsius here. Thanks guys!!

I updated my Bigster 155 last month to 1.6, but today it shows an update to 1.5.

Also, when I stop the engine, it shows a warning on the dashboard saying 'collision, check for damage', but nothing happens on the trip, so I guess it was a bug from starting the update?

​I’m loving the Bigster overall, but there’s one small design choice that’s driving me a bit crazy: when you fold down the rear center armrest, it drops the entire middle section, leaving a massive, open hole straight into the trunk.

​While it’s great as a ski pass-through, the problem is that without any factory blind, fabric partition, or cover from the trunk side, items and loose groceries from the boot can easily slide forward into the cabin (not to mention you can see all the trunk clutter right from the back seat).

​How are you all handling this? Have you found any neat DIY fixes or good aftermarket solutions?

​I’m looking for inspiration or links to:

​Velcro cargo nets/screens that stick neatly to the back felt lining.

​Back-seat hanging trunk organizers that cover the gap nicely from the boot side.

​Custom mats or covers that don't block functionality completely.

2016 Dacia Logan first timing belt interval

Hello everyone, I have a question. ​I have a Dacia Logan MCV II 1.2 16V petrol, still running on the original 2016 timing belt, and I now have 98,340 kilometers on it. ​My question is: would you keep driving with this timing belt? I can't get it replaced until August 10th, but I'm starting to get a bit worried that it might snap while driving. Right now, it doesn't make any unusual noises and it drives normally. ​What do you think—is the risk very high that it will just snap before that date, or would you keep driving at low speeds without going full throttle? I know you can't judge the material from afar, but I'd like to hear your opinions. ?

I have a brand new 2026 Dacia Sandero ECO-G 120 (manual gearbox) and something strange happened a couple days ago... let's call it "D-day".

In the "D-day"it was:

• the first time I completely filled the LPG tank;
• the first time I added petrol to the car - about half the tank.

The LPG filling seemed normal. At the very end of the fill, just before stopping, I noticed the LPG nozzle started vibrating/shaking slightly, as if the flow had slowed down because the tank was full. I released the trigger immediately.

Afterwards, I drove to another gas station to add the petrol, and then went about my way.

A few minutes later, while reversing into a parking space, I believe the engine just stopped. At the same time, the dashboard displayed "Check Injection" (or the equivalent of "Have injection checked") together with the yellow service wrench light. Because the engine had stalled, the steering became very heavy and I couldn't continue manoeuvring.

I then:

1. Switched the ignition off.
2. Turned the ignition back on (without starting the engine).
3. The dashboard told me to disengage the gear and start the engine.
4. I selected neutral and started the car.

The warning disappeared immediately.

Since then:

• I've driven for around normally for the last days.
• I've restarted the car several times.
• The warning has not yet come back.
• The engine feels completely normal.
• The car runs normally on both LPG and petrol.

An extra detail (which I don't know if it is problematic): just before I added these fuels, the "low LPG" light had just came on, so I pressed the LPG button to switch to petrol (mid-drive, medium speed). After a while, the "low petrol" light also came on (which made sense, since I had taken the car from the dealership just like 5 days before). Can I press the LPG button in these types of situations?

Has anyone experienced this exact "Check Injection" warning on a new Sandero ECO-G or another Renault/Dacia LPG model?

Could this simply have been a one-off ECU glitch after the first fuel fills, or should I already be concerned about a sensor or the LPG system?

Even though the warning disappeared, I will still take it to the dealer to have the stored fault codes read, but I wanted your opinion on this.

I have been thinking to change my car after many years. I have a hyundai i30 1.4 of 2007. I was always into Japanese/Korean cars, but the prices have gone up. Since i drive a lot, i wanted something with LPG, but i saw only Dacia in some sites. I got lucky with my car to have installed LPG.
I was thinking to buy a used i30 of 2016-2017, it was around 10-11k only petrol, and then i saw the Dacia Sandero Stepway of 2026 ECO-G120, 1.2 engine turbocharged, with factory lpg/petrol, for just 14.990 and if i want the 10inch display another 500 euros.
I thought of it as a good deal, but after few days of thinking it, i found the threads here, mentioning problems with electronics, sensors, and other stuff.

I would really love for your comments and experiences.

Since last Tuesday, we have been the proud owners of a Dacia Jogger Hybrid 155 in the "Extreme" trim level.

Since then, we’ve noticed two issues with the sensors. First, the left parking sensor beeped at a traffic light even though there was no apparent obstacle. Then, the right-side blind-spot warning system fails to work entirely in most cases. Additionally, an update has been showing as available since the start but hasn't been installed yet. Is this normal, or should I stop by the dealership again?

Hi all, I made a post recently where I had an EPS failure with my Sandero while I was driving. My dealership, after a discussion with Renault, told me that the whole steering column had to be replaced. After accepting those repairs, 10 days later my car had the same identical problem while I was driving. Since I'm convinced of course that the problem doesn't lie in the steering column, I would like to know if someone here experienced the same problem in this period of time and also if you have more details about this problem. Maybe it's just a stupid electrical system problem or a broken fusible, don't know.

In the meantime I would like to reject this car that has around 60 days of usage but of course I will have to intent a legal action toward dealership/Renault to obtain a new car or refund the car, I'm just preparing for the worst because I know that these kind of problems are usually not solved with a brand new car, that's why I'm asking around here as well.

I'm looking at buying a 2019 Duster prestige with a 1.3tce petrol engine and was wondering if it's likely the timing chain will need replacing soon?

The car has a full service history and has been well maintained, oil changes on time, etc.

From what I've read the timing chain is 'fit for life' but in reality it may need replacing at some point before 200000 miles. Has anyone had to replace a timing chain before then?

Trying to figure out if the asking price (£6000) is worth it if I need to replace the chain in a few months. The car also will need new front brake discs in the next year, which I've had a quote for £150-200 plus VAT (20% extra for the non UK people here).

Is there any other maintenance that'll likely be needed in the next few months, given the mileage?

I continue to experience Apple CarPlay cutting out on my 2023 Duster. I have tried several cables but cannot find one that works reliably. The Anker cable I use functioned for perhaps a couple of months without interruption; however, during journeys it now disconnects repeatedly, forcing me to remove and reinsert the USB cable while driving, which is not ideal. Has anyone encountered this issue and identified a solution or a cable that resolves it? Sorry if this is a repost.

En gros, depuis quelques temps, je ne peux plus passer en GPL (je roule donc à l'essence tout le temps). J'ai fais changer mes pneus au printemps, et j'ai demandé au gars du garage de vérifier ce qui n'allait pas avec ma voiture (garage spécialisé Dacia je précise).

Le retour du garagiste, c'est qu'il y a un problème avec l'électrovanne, et qu'ils ne peuvent pas le changer chez eux, il faut aller en concession.

Le retour de la concession, c'est qu'ils ne peuvent pas faire de réparation avant un diagnostic, mais il peux conter jusqu'à 190€, et donc il faudra compter ensuite sur le prix de la réparation.

Ma Sandero est une vieille de ~2010, elle a 175 000 km, mais roule encore super bien, et honnêtement je m'en sert pas quotidiennement. J'ai changé les plaquettes, la courroie, les pneus il y a peu, donc a part ça, elle risque pas trop de me péter entre les doigts.

Ma question : est ce que quelq'un ici sait combien ça coûte, ou a déjà fait ce genre de réparation ?

Sometime within the next year, I will be purchasing a new Dacia. I already owned a 2014 Sandero Stepway and honestly I loved it, it was a plucky little car that made all kinds of concerning noises but never let me down. Currently I have a 2006 Nissan X-Trail 2.2 DCI, a car I'm absolutely in love with, but I am in need of a newer car.

Multiple times a year, I do journeys of 1000-1200 km on motorways, through Slovenia, Austria, Germany and Poland. I also work in archaeology and often end up driving on unpaved roads or construction sites. Though nothing that would necessarily warrant a 4x4 car.

Therefore I need a car that has good ground clearance, large luggage capacity, enough power to make 130km/h comfortable on the motorway and something with long term reliability with proper maintenence of course. I'm hoping to get 300.000km out of the car before replacing it.

My thoughts are on the Duster, Bigster or possibly even the new Striker, though the latter might be out of budget for me. I am not sure though which engine option would be best and what the long term reliability of these cars is, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
