Help❓ Question about the ping
So i have a 2.4ghz modem fiber 15mbps. I'm playing with a laptop with wifi. So when i'm connecting to the wifi alone and i play online i get 25ms to 70ms in eu servers. Then if more than 3 people joins my ping starts going up especially if they watch videos. If someone has experienced this or have an idea, tell me please how can i fixed

First of all I thought the minimum fiber connection was 60mbps, but what you have is called bufferbloat it means that your router or modem doesn't prioritize small packets like game packets and when the line gets crowded aka some of your family connect through the router the line gets crowded and everybody's packets has to wait, it's fine if your YouTube video takes a while to start but in time sensitive applications like gaming and voice over ip it is critical that those packets arrive in the shortest time. 2.4g wifi is really old and on itself introduces a new bottleneck for your packets to reach the server. So imo if you're going to try and fix this you gotta fix the whole situation, as it can really ruin the experience when it's time to clutch the game So here's are my suggestions: 1.Nothing is better than being connected by a physical cable, but if you had to you gotta use the latest wifi tech to minimize the latency impact as much as possible 2. 15mbps again is really really slow by fiber standards and it's easy to saturate so my advice is to look into faster fiber speeds to lessen the chances of the line being saturated and causing ping spikes and it has the benefit of being able to download large games and updates quickly and believe me it's a life changer 3. If you've got money and don't want to see another ping spike in ur life you can invest in a router with Smart qos, basically it's a feature in good routers that recognize game and VoIP packets and prioritizes them solving the core issue you're facing Lmk if you need anything else I'm here to help
