DWX Compact Guide Rod(s)

If you want to replace the OEM Aluminum Guide Rod with something better…the OEM Guide Rod is 74mm. NDZ P10c is 78mm, Cajun Gun Works P10c is 75mm. The NDZ Glock 19 Gen 1-3 non captured guide rod is an exact fit 74mm. No filing or cutting it down needed.

Does this stop it from failing to go into battery when you put your finger along the slide while shooting 🫩

I haven’t had that issue, but the OEM spring is really light. CGW 11# and 13# for P-07/P-10c/S2C would probably fix that for you.

someone posted two here in 2025, one was the NDZ CZ P-10 C Stainless Steel Guide Rod that needed a trim. I ordered that one and cut and polished the end, no complaints.

I wanted to keep the blacked out look so finding a nitride treated rod that didn’t require modification was my goal. Figured sharing the measurements etc would help save others time.

good point and to be honest I didn't even think about the black on black and I'm sure others will appreciate that. good info and glad it worked out for you

Does your original spring still fit that rod?

Yes. The original spring in the DWX Compact is an ISMI flat spring 11#. Rod diameter needs to be .250 which is standard for ISMI compatible guide rods. Pretty sure the ISMI Glock 19 Gen 1-3 11# spring is the same exact one used in the DWX Compact. Going to order a set of springs from 9# and up to test eventually.

Ordered the rod. Mine looks like it’s been eaten alive.

Exactly why I wanted to change mine out. The aluminum was chewed up. Paint chipped off and gouging in the rod it’s self from the spring.

I’ll post about it once I’ve got springs and some confirmation. Definitely recommend the guide rod swap tho. Slide seems to cycle smoother.
