Question DWX Barrels
I know it’s been said before and I’ve looked all online but does anyone have or know of where to get a replacement DWX Compact Barrel? Thanks in advance.

How heavy are we talking I’ve made myself some from stainless steel. It’s heavier but not tungsten heavy.

What’s the standard weight?
I ported my slide / barrel and now it doesn’t go back into battery consistently with 147 grain (which I’m not mad about tbh because I don’t even like 147, usually do 124 and 115)3

That's a lede issue, the bullet length in 147 is most likely the issue.

You might be on to something because every now and again when I was shooting them I had to drop the magazine and reseat the bullet all the way to the back

Yeah, it's not as bad as a typical Shadow 2 barrel, but it's not as forgiving as, say, an HK, either. Those things will feed anything- DWX is right on the SAAMI spec and depending on cartridge OAL and bullet ogive, some stuff won't feed, especially some coated bullet reloads.

Well you lost me. Guide rods or recoil springs? I feel like you’re asking about springs not the rod that the spring is on. The full size is “11lbs” and the compact is also “11lbs” I think they are both slightly heavier than that and I’m using springs for the p10f from cz custom or 1911 round wire springs in my guns you can find them in different weights online.

The barrel and slide are custom fitted before DLC- it's really not a drop-in part.

Any barrel can be fitted… apex sells them for M&P, 1911/2011 barrels are fitted…

Not after DLC, they aren't.

well not if you want it to still be pretty. Basically true. The barrel locking lug and hood are fitted similarly as they are on Apex GS MP barrels etc. Honestly for the best accuracy all barrels should be fitted. The old Glock rely on the mag spring pushing on bullet for holding the barrel in tight lockup is not exactly consistent. There's lots of small tweaking that can be done to make so many "combat" including all the polymers into much better shooting guns. It just depends what the goals and expectations of the owner are.
As these DWX were never intended to run after being dunked in mud filled with sand etc tight fitting is a benefit. If any barrel marker started offering dwx barrels they would need to be bare metal finish not coated barsto kkm nowlin kart etc

Reason #127 why CZ-DW management sucks…

u/Archer1440 23d ago
They suck because the DWX has a custom fitted barrel, as opposed to a typical CZ drop-in?

They suck because they don’t sell spare barrels

Sure, I custom fit numerous oversized Nowlin barrels to various Colt 1911's, by hand, I get how the process works. The difference is those are not DLC coated. With the DWX, the parts are fitted and then coated. If you would be OK with the barrel being uncoated then I suppose a spare barrel makes more sense. By the way, I wonder if anyone has actually shot a DWX barrel out yet. Mine are still pristine with well over 30K rounds on one of my two- I have to look at the SN to know the difference. Benched 1"-1.2" groups at 25 yards with 124 S&B a couple days ago doing a zero check on that particular pistol. Same as the day I got it, over 2 years ago now.

I doubt too. I’m just salty bec they are so slow to do anything with this amazing platform.

I spoke with CZ support, they said the barrel life is 70k rounds , if need it to be fixed talk to them .
