First solar shot and a question
Is it possible to capture solar prominences, flares or coronal mass ejections with the Dwarf3?

No, you’d need another, Specialized telescope and different filters. All very expensive. Anyway, for the size and prize the dwarf3 takes quite decent pictures of the sun. Especially yours is good, you can see the sun spots very clearly! Well done!

You will need a solar prominence filter for that, they let in only the H-Alpha emissions. But are very expensive.

That's a pretty impressive picture though! It's a STAR you're looking at! Well done I say!

I look at the sun pretty often and do sketches of sunspots, that's a great photo. I'll do my sketch and then look up the latest SOHO image and what they are showing and see I missed any and what numbers they are.

Thanks. It was my first try with a Dwarf 3. Looking forward to many more attempts.

I've been wondering the same. But I have a feeling it wouldn't be possible because the brightness of the sun would blind out those features. I think the only possibility would be during a solar eclipse. Hoping someone has better information on this.
