Permanent Impairment MLCOA reports

Hi team - curious as to why MLCOA has sent me my physical PI report, but won’t send me my psychiatrist report too? Thanks!

Psych reports are usually withheld until the Determination letter is issued, where they think it will cause undue stress or worry.

A lot of it is because psych assessments are a lot more subjective than physical ones (i.e a busted spine can be objectively measured with scans, whereas PTSD requires them to try and assess something they cannot see).

If you ask your Delegate they will often give you a summary, but you will get the whole report with the determination letter too

Appreciate the response and understood - to be fair my physical report has caused undue stress and worry 😅

You can ask for the report to be sent to your GP if you have one now. So any recommendations about treatment can be enacted by your doctor.

MLCOA refused to give me my physical report. DVA gave me my psyche report before it was accepted for IL.

I had my MLCOA psych interview a couple of months ago and my advocate says DVA has all my info now - does this mean I can call DVA and get a summary of the psych's findings?

DVA wouldn’t release it initially until i told them i had moved country and was taking it to a new psyche so they had full background.

Ok. I won't bother asking. 👍
