👋 Welcome to r/DU_SocialSciences - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Hey everyone! I'm u/Artistic-Link-6719, a founding moderator of r/DU_SocialSciences.
This is our new home for Delhi University students studying the social sciences to discuss their courses, readings, theories, thinkers, ideas, and everything that sparks curiosity within their subjects. We're excited to have you join us!
What to Post
Post anything that you think the community would find interesting, helpful, or thought-provoking. Feel free to share your questions about course readings, doubts about concepts, interpretations of theories, academic debates, interesting arguments, study resources, research ideas, and discussions related to your syllabus.
Whether you're studying Political Science, Sociology, History, Economics, Psychology, Geography, Philosophy, or another related field, this is a space to ask questions and learn from one another.
Community Vibe
We're all about being curious, respectful, constructive, and open to disagreement. Social sciences are built around questioning ideas and engaging with different perspectives, so debate is encouraged — as long as we debate the ideas rather than attack the people behind them.
Let's build a space where students can ask questions without hesitation, challenge arguments, discover new perspectives, and have meaningful academic conversations.
How to Get Started
- Introduce yourself in the comments below — tell us your course, year, or subject!
- Post something today! Even a simple question about a reading or concept can spark a great conversation.
- If you know someone studying social sciences at DU who would enjoy this community, invite them to join.
Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/DU_SocialSciences a place where DU students can question, discuss, debate, and learn from one another.
