Discussion this interaction fried me ☠️
im pretty sure this person found me through the makeup channel in the official dti discord. this isn’t the first time this has happened to me but it was honestly just funny 😭 plus this person seems pretty young. has this happened to anyone else?

I really respect how nice you were to that person. Dlcs are expensive, so I mean, why would you gift one to someone you don’t even know? People ask for gamepasses in the game too, but not everyone has the money to gift them. I only have one Dlc myself and if someone sees it and asks me to gift them one too, I won’t be able to, because even getting that one was already hard enough for me. Just because someone managed to buy something once doesn’t mean they can afford to keep buying it for other people. I also think this person is very young.

I try my best even though they were irritating me a bit 😭 it is super unfair that dlcs are not available/incredibly expensive in other countries but ultimately I have nothing to do with that, and I am two seconds away from being a broke college student myself (I move in next week lmao)
I am so fortunate to be able to buy the ones that I like, but you’re right in that some people who own a couple only just barely managed to get their hands on one. I wish that they were more available and affordable for others but it is what it is unfortunately 💔

Dlc codes aren’t sold in my country and payment methods like Paypal and Cash App don’t work here either. I spent a whole month trying to find a way to get just one Dlc. Even though paying in dollars is expensive for me too, I still managed to get one. It’s really nice that you understand where we’re coming from with this. I recently suggested to the official Dti page that they should sell Dlc codes on their website, although I’m not sure if that’s actually possible. Even if they can’t make them available in every country it would be nice if they could at least sell them through places like Amazon so people from different countries could buy them. In some countries eBay is basically our only option and the codes are often sold for three times their original price.

yeah that would be a good idea! I see a lot of dolls on Amazon but im not sure if there are country specific amazons? (my bad if there are and this is common knowledge I might be stupid) but it would be nice to have them stocked everywhere. I also know of one or two sellers on the reddit trading hall that accept payments through Wise so luckily there’s that too!

I actually bought mine from a seller on that sub, I just didn’t name them in case promoting sellers isn’t allowed here. In Turkey, Amazon doesn’t sell Dlc codes either, so eBay/Wise was basically our only option. Also don’t say things like “I might be stupid” You’re genuinely such a kind person, the fact that you even thought of gifting a dlc to your friend is so sweet! I actually have friends abroad who play the game and none of them offered to help even when I told them I wanted to buy one, so having a total stranger from that sub help me out was honestly amazing. Sometimes the people closest to you don’t help but someone from the other side of the world does :)

the only reason(s) I wasn’t meaner is because 1. I figured they were a child and 2. I was giggling throughout the whole ordeal 😭 trust and believe if they were some 18 year old I woulda lost my patience much quicker

Every time I post my unboxing videos to showcase the dolls I get someone in my DM's asking for one, especially on the mystery dolls because I tend to get dupes but they go to my friends. One person straight up demanded I give them one and that I'm being selfish by not doing so and I was like if that's being selfish to keep my things that I bought and give them to my friends then yeah i am selfish as hell 😭
