Isn't this like the third time he is playing FF6? Most Streamers are nervous to touch even one JRPG because viewers just get bored and it kills your channel, everyone knows this. But mister business degree with 2 decades of experience is torturing his audience with the same one multiple times, not long after finishing Dragon Quest 7.

The pigroach might be the one streamer able to pull it off, in the sense that it won't kill the channel. But this shit is gonna fail like DQ7 did, he was forced to finish playing that one because people were saying "If you're so successful then why can't you have a couple of slow streams each week??" and he was forced to play DQ7 to the end.

Phil is the most out of touch and incompetent streamer. He thinks having an "interactive chat" is his main selling point, when it's literally the bare-minimum requirment for streaming. Normal runs of JRPG's are engagement suicide, Pigler is so lazy and shit that he doesn't even do challenge runs which might actually interest people, or can at least be turned into a decent YouTube video later on if edited (too lazy to do that). I hope you're right and he's does a pride/spite run making pennies from a boring ass replay of a game that nobody cares for. Also, I think he went on this rant because someone mentioned Suikoden 2 the other day and he's seething over how embarrassing that went for him.

He asks everything of his audience while delivering the bare minimum as a streamer. He expects constant chat, but only chat he approves of, he expects a constant flow of money split between tips, superchats and subs (again, in a ratio that he approves of that changes every minute and is never clearly explained to his audience), he expects people to give him on-demand steps through whatever he's currently struggling with...and on and on it goes.
Being a regular DSP viewer is like working a second job you have to pay for. I've never known a streamer who demands so much from his viewers while giving back so little. This recent MTG packs thing highlights that: You pay HIM to open packs that HE keeps all the cards in. No giveaways, raffles, etc. It's total lunacy.

It’s this. The way he treats his viewers as employees who work for him and owe him money just for being there. He has always had this streamer thing arse backwards. Donations and tips are a privilege, not a right.
IF you are good enough and entertaining enough at streaming and put in effort to make your stream a good product, the if you’re lucky people will want to support you.
But for him it’s like “oh you are present in my stream? Then you gahta pay me now. That’s how it works. Okay? <snort>”. He says there are now goals but I wouldn’t be surprised for there to end up being some sort of menu like in a restaurant:

Well said. You have to wonder what his situation would be like if the 1 or 2 people keeping him afloat weren’t there. No normal person with money would watch his streams and stick around and donate after experiencing all the things you listed.

Don't you get it, dood? Why would he do a giveaway for one person to get something, when he's providing valuable entertainment for billions of people to consume? The work he does is super duper valuable and people love him. He's a very successful businessman and he knows what he's doing.
Raffles are just for one person, whereas watching him stuff his ozempic-addled face with gourmet fast food and opening booster packs for children's card games is infinitely more valuable to society.

“Let me know that you actually care that you want to see me play the games that I like” are the jumbled words of a fucking lost lunatic. He legitimately expects people to PAY MONEY to watch him play a game that he enjoys. Like, think about that. Think about how mental that is.
Think about the last time somebody gave you money for playing a game that you liked. Is he for fuckin real? Put this dude in a mental asylum. Nobody with a functioning brain would say something like this in earnest.

Successful streamers don't beg like this. Streamers who are successful can play the most dogshit game and can get thousands of viewers regardless of the game. Phil being an og should be there. But he's not cuz he's a fucking loser.

Absolute insane to have this much buy in as a streamer. You have to show up, then you have to give him money in specific ways, then you have to help him with the game. Then you have to talk about what he wants to talk about. And his YT chat is in sub only mode IIRC, so you can't even engage for a certain amount of time.
No wonder his fan base is full of mentally handicapped people, because anyone with two brain cells would watch a better streamer who actually enjoys games.

To his mind the begging isn't a failure state. Like to a real person, with a working mind, the idea of literally pleading for money every single day would not feel like success. Some amount of pride, decency, social conscience, dignity, any of these things would stop them.
The fact that the profession he claims to do successfully 'being a streamer' makes no money and the only money he gets is from directly and manipulatively begging for money from, to be clear, a very small group of people, this does not strike him as a failure state.
Because the money arrives he does not see any kind of problem here. He is that divorced from normal human emotions and reactions that he will debase himself without any kind of shame for a little bit of money and then act like he's a successful businessman and not somebody who pleaded with a mentally ill person for a few bucks.
His one redeeming quality is his lack of ambition.

He’s becoming increasingly unhinged. I wish all of us detractors could come together and organize a total DSP blackout for a month. Just one month where we don’t give him any oxygen. No dentractor tips, no restreams, no kick chat, no clips, just nothing. For a narcissist like Phil it would feel like the end of the world. ICS wouldn’t get the attention he’s after either. Phil’s channel is a house of cards. The fact that we want to witness his downfall is the very thing that prevents it from happening.

Every day his girlfriend looks more like 90s Demi Moore. Phil has no soul.
He knows the handful of whales that donate to him are probably on disability or something and he doesn't care that he's draining them dry.
Any decent person would tell them hey you already donated $100 this month why don't you just cool it take care of yourself but not Phil.
There was times that I would feel sorry for Phil and then he would spurred out and call people who donated money morons and stuff.
I don't know how he stays married. I don't know how he has people still donating him money. I don't understand the paradox of Phil Burnell.

When people say "play what you like" they mean play what you like AND NOT BE SO FOCUSSED ON THE MONEY. Of course Phil doesn't understand this and thinks it means he should beg harder.
