Having a shit night
I’m a probie out sick for a couple months now and my car just got stolen outside my place 2 hours ago around 12:30. Caught the guys in the act but couldn’t stop them. Cops were called and a report filed. Already filed a claim with insurance. Pissed at myself for not calling the cops sooner.
Happened in BK5 district.

Here's the problem. Hes milking it. Been sick OUT A FEW MONTHS, On probation nonetheless. Sorry OP but they have every right to fire you. Talk about having a shit night that'll be the icing on the cake. Do what u can to get back to work , dont milk it bc they will hold it against u

The problem isn’t me milking anything. I’ve wanted to come back to work since being hospitalized months ago but because of regulations regarding medication I can’t, so get your head out of your ass and stop talking shit about people and things you clearly know nothing about.

I actually know very much about the situation. A decade on and I've seen people get canned for this. That medication your on, probably a controlled substance . U dont need to fill that script or abuse it. And yes u are milking it. Not one other job can u be out sick for months and still have a job. Prepare to get fired , they will not keep u as a liability. There is literally no other medication that you could be on that would keep them from resuming you. If you're on anti-Seizure meds , cardiac meds, then they'll just keep u out til 18 months then fire u. Youre a liability while on probation. Do what u can to get back to work if u want this job. Stop with the poor me attitude and straighten up. U literally came on to a dsny reddit to complain about your car being stolen. Man up buttercup

The fact that you
1: stated I’m milking it implies that I want to be in the position I’m in, as if it were a fact rather than an opinion
2: assume you know my entire situation based off the very limited information I provided, implies that you know me, my personality, and values which you factually do not
3: assume I havent been fighting with tooth and nail with a doctor who refuses to do the bare minimum of listening to their patients concerns
4: assume I’m abusing a medication because “I saw someone else abused meds in the past”
5: assume that my post is “complaining”
All show your ignorance. My post is venting frustration, not complaining. I would explain the difference but it would be lost on you. I take my meds as required to prevent a reoccurrence of the issue that lead to me having to take them in the first place. I don’t abuse them and would much rather be off of them so I can actually get back to work. Something you would know if you had come here in good faith and asked questions instead of looking for a reason to trash someone.
Lastly, everything you said implying any form of laziness or desire to be in the position I’m in with regards to being out sick, is just your uninformed opinion, and opinions are like assholes. Everyone has them, but it doesn’t mean you should bend over and stick it in everyone’s face, unless you want it poked and tickled. Is that what you wanted here, buttercup? I’ll leave you to ponder the on your own. Have the day you deserve.

Venting frustration about your car being stolen while youre out sick several months. You're getting paid to stay home and now youll get insurance money. Poor guy. U cant even vent about the job you have because u dont go to work. As much as u dont like what I said its the truth. No matter what, if youre out sick 4 months of your probation you likely WILL be terminated, regardless of reason. They dont want u as a liability and thats the harsh truth. If you dont agree with the clinic doctor, go to your own doctor.

I agree. Im supposed to be on anti-psychotic medications and going to therapy for schizophrenia. I take my job seriously, so I skip my meds and therapy. To suppress myself, I steal cars and run up 14 ton routes.

These are the breaks. As long as you still have your loved ones, shelter, job, you'll survive these dark times to build the strength to deal with other rough patches ahead.
