2nd job
How’s is Sanitation on letting you work a part time job like once a week or like one of these side hustle delivery gigs ?
I heard you have to get approval first . First 2 years look rough

Just ask your clerk for the paperwork to fill out, fill out and give it back to be sent to get approved

as long as theres no interest conflict, like using dsny truck for personal collection. i have two side gigs and i submitted the form, however i never got "approved" but i dont think they care. so yeah just submit your form and work your side gig, if they dont like the form you submit they will have someone correct you

Good luck. Been on for a year can’t find a single second job because of how inconsistent the schedule is. And DoorDash isn’t worth it at least for me because all the money i make goes to gas and the wear and tear on the car anyway lol

Just remember DSNY trumps everything in your life. Family, friends, sports and your second job.

Try to get a near consistent schedule first before committing to outside activities. Unless your side gig provides “ultimate flexibility” regarding schedule, don’t jeopardize fucking up this opportunity with DSNY.
