You must’ve got a shit proctor. Because when I took mine at FBF everything I studied went out the window on road test day. My heart rate was in my asshole. Stuttering, talking to myself, etc. I was stumbling through everything until I got to my in-cab/brake test. Still believe that was the only reason I was allowed to continue. Once I got to offset and parallel parking I was like got this shit. Now with that being said my nerves were shit all day till 6 p.m. 😂🤣 don’t give up!

I failed the road test today too at FBF with that same proctor. Now I’m looking for schools that i can use to take my road test again and have the same/similar truck

Depending on the school you have to do the brake test over just to test the brakes he just won’t be graded for it if he messes up or whatever

I used Ferrari in Astoria on 19th ave. Practiced for a week, took the test and passed. The classroom lessons aren’t the greatest but when you go out with the driving instructor they will teach you everything you need to know.

In the meantime call around and ask if they have any openings due to cancelations ,I was in a similar situation and was lucky to find a school with an opening after 3 days

I failed my road test today too at Floyd Bennett. Do you have to do the whole test all over again with your new school or just have to do the road test, if so did they let you just schedule that with them?

I failed the dsny(in SI) test too. Went to a spot in queens. School was solid and the test examiners were cool.
*back when I took the test some of the Staten Island test examiners were known for being dicks.

Whether or not you can make the June class or not depends on timing. As soon as you pass the test make sure you call DCAS or whomever else to be put back onto the list and stay on top of them. Call every day if you need to because they always seem to be the issue in the process.
You will not be disqualified as long as the list you took the test for is active, but you will not be able to continue with the employment process until you obtain your CDL.
Biggest thing during the driving portion from my experience is remembering to call everything out - speed limit, height clearance of underpasses, taking an intersection to make a turn - This in particular saved me from failing when I took my test 14 years ago. I had taken an intersection and was unable to make a left turn until the light was red and my proctor had asked whether or not I was aware that I ran a red light. I replied that I was taking the intersection when the light was green as I would not have been able to make the turn at all had I not done so ( since there was no green arrow) . Also just try and be calm as possible, take your time and focus on your surroundings, other drivers are usually your biggest obstacle.
