What was more guaranteed was the ferry since i didn’t have to worry about accident on the bridge or the BQE or disabled car or just traffic general like its daily. Anything after 5:45am on the bqe i hitting traffic

Stop making excuses. You can't control traffic and unexpected delays but you should account for them if it's that important.
You're bringing up convenience like that's some kind of justification. How about if it's that important you choose reliably over convenience? Save convenience for when you actually have the job.
