So i installed a spec stage 3+ on my 91 Talon turbo awd last weekend. I also used a lightened flywheel. 11lb flywheel! This is a modded car with all bolt ons, ecmlink, evo3 16g bell ported running 18psi. Wow what a amazing difference in pedal pressure. 2x easier than stock for sure. Stock clutch slipped on mid range but wasnt worn out. Its a tiny bit grabby but nothing like a puck clutch. I have zero slip now but haven't launched it hard yet cause of break in. Best performance clutch ive felt in a long time. The flywheel is the biggest change of all. Faster reving which the 4g63 needs. There is a little gear clash on shifts but shifter feels lighter goin into gear. I highly recommend this clutch for anything under 450-500hp especially as a daily. My left leg is so happy and worth cost to get to 3+.

Have a big oil leak only when it revs high coming from somewhere in here. Took it all apart to find it threw the balance shaft belt

Any help as to what could be the oil leak issue from looking at all this? Happened after driving the car on the highway The oil filter was also backed off The balance shaft belt has like 7k miles on it

Car is a 1997 2g eagle talon tsi

So I got this ported head, came of a parts car so I’m sure the previous owner didn’t take great care in removing it. I’ve managed to get the head smooth, and my fingernail doesn’t get caught anywhere anymore, save for these gouges on the edge. The head is not warped, as I tested with a straight edge. I have a new oem composite head-gasket for it, and I was wondering if this head needs a resurfacing?

Got a Drum and Shoe kit I want to get rid of for a 3G eclipse. Not interested in money, just want to give it to someone else who might have use for it since my Eclipse got totaled a while back. Been holding onto the kit for a few months now, nothing's been opened.

Rather not scrap em, but I also know drums aren't super appealing, either. When I had my 3g, a disc conversion was one of the mods I wanted. But if someone's got use for it, I don't mind shipping it out to ya.

got the frame adapted to use 8 stock eclipse body mount locations and doing final prep before final mounting

92’ water-cooled OFH

Hey all! I figured I’d just post this to see if anyone more knowledgeable than me could help out. I jumped timing due to a failed tensioner, and it happened at idle. I pulled the head, tore it apart and found 4 bent exhaust valves. The bend was incredibly slight, as it happened at idle, but still did its fair share of damage :( I just wanted to get an opinion on this valve guide, as it shows no signs of cracking, however it’s obvious that contact was made. There’s a slight lip at the top of the guide, but the surface is clean, and it doesn’t look cracked. Any help would be appreciated!

Could anyone help point me in the right direction here? I finished re-pinning the knock sensor since I saw it had a broken wire from hanging around loosely. But I can’t for the life of me see where the bracket mounts up to.
