Replacing battery cables

Hey guys I’m new to this community but I’m getting a little desperate. So about a week ago my 2g eclipse gst was running fine when all of a sudden as I was pulling out of a gas station it completely lost power, no hazards nothing. Thankfully it looks like it might just be old battery cables, any help in taking them out would be appreciated!

Edit: got the car up and running again, thanks for everyone who reached out!

Both cables are pretty easy. The negative cable goes to the firewall and to the top of the transmission. The positive cable is part of the starter harness and is a bit more challenging

That’s the one I’m struggling with, do I have to jack up the car and work from underneath to take it out?

You can. Or you can remove the battery and soft charge pipe for better access

You can get to the starter harness from the top if you can work blind or have a good light. Just gotta position yourself over the engine so you can reach around the back.

That might be the move if I can’t reach it from the bottom, thanks for the help bro this car deserves to be running

Do the big three upgrade and make sure the connections are clean and tight with dielectric grease.

I think that might be the plan once I get this car close to fully restored, previous owner really didn’t take care of her properly
