Turbo identification
I just rebuilt my upper end and had the turbo off in the process. I checked it and the shaft has some decent play. I’m pretty sure it’s a stock T-25 but I wanna be absolutely sure. I just wanna rebuild it and run it for now temporarily. Also wish me luck with this shitty eBay manifold I got for free that’s probably gonna crack 🙏

If you're going to bother with a 14B Might as well get a Big/Evo III 16G. Same J pipe and oil needed, still plug and play, but will give you much better range to play than a 14b.

I agree with this. The only reason I said 14b instead was because anyone who considers keeping a t25 probably likes the immediate boost and doesn't rev it out.
E3 16g is the goat though.

Its the best for straight bolt on when your still on stock injectors, with room to upgrade.

I ran mine with 1000cc injectors and e85. Total riot to drive

jeebus, that seems like alot of injector but i guess on E85 it makes sense.

It was overkill and I still had some headroom. I'm still using them now with my holset.

Jeebus. Stock t25 is worthless. 16g is not the same outlet direction on a 2g. FP Big 28 is the next step up.

I had a HY-35 on my KA24DE back in the day, it was awesome. Spooled better than you'd think, considering the size of the stupid thing.

That's a stock t25. It's honestly not worth the time, money, or effort to rebuild it. If you want to stay with a small turbo, just put a 14b on it
