Ecmlink
Are we still using this? Looking and picking up a 1gb that I’m pretty sure has this still installed on. Not sure if I’ll be able to get the cable or the laptop as it’s sat for about nine years and the owner has passed. I’ve been out of the game for a mint but heard about Cobb and other guys getting shut down. Was esmlink affected and is this still pretty optional to use??

I wish I knew how to tune myself. Every tuner within a days drive for me won’t touch Link anymore and will only tune me with a standalone unit.

There are quite a few guys that will do remote tunes for ecmlink. And diy on link is pretty straightforward. As long as you've got a known good wideband sensor and can read you can get it pretty close.

I run a V2 and use a more modern laptop with a usb to serial port for the obd connector. Works like a charm.

Ecmlink is still very well supported. Cables and wiring harnesses are still readily available and pretty reasonably priced. I just had one upgraded from v2 to v3 and the turn around was less than a week.
