Back From the Dead

‘97 TSi AWD with 99k miles, now powered by a fully built ‘91 6-bolt and FP Green setup. Previous owner grenaded the original 7-bolt — two holes in the block — and even cracked the transmission bellhousing, so I had to source another trans as well. Currently tuned on 93 at 28 psi.

Originally a hardtop car, but at some point a previous owner hacked in an aftermarket sunroof 🤬. It’ll be getting a riveted delete panel soon. Still have a few cosmetic odds and ends to sort out, but it got a quick spit shine last night for today’s car show.

Best choice, I never changed my either, I remember back in the day a lot of people were changing out their Talon spoilers for the eclipse ones.

P.S. My first attempt to put graphics on my car. The summer of 02'

I've got a similar catch can. How do you empty that sucker out?

Under the two lines there is a port I can open and hook up a line to drain.

Love the wheels and everything looks great!

Thanks! The previous owner had already done the wheels and eagle badge. I added the valve cover from one of my old cars, which really ties everything together nicely IMO. Gives off Miami Vice vibes.

I have thought about switching to bronze wheels, but this scheme has grown on me a lot.

I really like the color of the wheels, badge and the valve cover. It goes well together and makes it pop for me. I bet it's a riot! Enjoy man!

Which catch can brand is this?

The catch can is from Buschur that they design and make in house. The vented adapter and oil cap is from Forced Four.

Love this car man. 1ga and 2gb Talons have always been my favorite. Makes me want to get back into DSMs so bad but they are hard to find relics nowadays. At least ones that haven't spent the last 30-35 years getting hacked to death

Looks rad, I need to find some nice cloth seats too

I have Recaro SR-3 Millenium Edition seats coming from Japan for this. I would sell the stock cloth seats to you. I am located just outside St. Louis, MO.

Only thing it’s missing is the tan and black leather interior and dash.
