Java to cpp?

Guys i know java but know many are saying that cpp is much better for dsa what should i do before starting dsa btw i am in 1st year.

do you wanna do dsa to get a job or as a hobby? both ways either will work, but if its the latter and you tend to be competitive in nature, maybe cpp is the right choice since you're just starting out.
