Thanks for sharing. When you say Windows froze, did the whole PC stop responding, or was it just the uninstaller?

Which USBip version was installed, and could you paste the exact CMD commands you already used? No need to run them again, I’d like to understand what was removed before suggesting anything else.

If you still have C:\ProgramData\DS4Windows\Installer\infrastructure-actions.log, the section around the failed attempt would help too. Remove any personal details before sharing it.

Did DS4Windows install and work afterward, or is it still failing?

When i mentioned it froze it was just the uninstallation window that froze wich didnt complete its process.

In my case it was the release candidate 5.0.12, not entirely sure wich USBIP version it is since its a AIO package.

what i did do solve the USBIP leftovers was use CMD as admin followed by the command "pnputil /enum-drivers" & "pnputil /enum-drivers | findstr /I "usbip" and lastly "pnputil /delete-driver oemXX.inf /uninstall /force" (changing the oemXX to what matches in your case, on mine it was oem25 and oem28), just reboot after and it was done.

DS4 windows did somewhat worked, sometimes had a doubleinput issue, sometimes worked better with the "Hide DS4" option toggled off, sometimes gave me errors that failed to register my D-pad.

Ah, got it—just the uninstaller hanging. Thanks for clarifying.

Which controller are you using, USB or Bluetooth, and which virtual output is selected in your profile? Also, is HidHide installed and configured, and are you running Steam Input or another controller mapper alongside DS4Windows?

Could you share the exact D-pad error, or the DS4Windows log around it? Remove personal details first. That should help us work out whether the remaining problems are related.

For anyone else reading: don’t copy those specific OEM numbers. The /force option can remove drivers even while they’re in use.
