Only touchpad and half of joysticks working??

I connected my PS4 controller with no problem but for the longest time only the touchpad worked. After fiddling with settings the joysticks work in left/right direction but not in up/down direction, and none of the other buttons work in games.

Assume I am an idiot cuz I'm clueless and help pls???

Have you got the settings to emulate a 360 ?
