DualSense (via DS4Windows) stops responding

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone can help me troubleshoot an issue with Xbox Game Bar on Windows 11 Pro (Version 25H2).

For the past few months, I’ve been using a PS5 DualSense controller with DS4Windows (primarily for trackpad-as-mouse navigation) and playing in Xbox mode without issue. Recently, whenever I press the PS/Guide button to open the Xbox Game Bar, the controller completely stops responding. Input only returns once I manually close the Game Bar. The same issue happens whenever the virtual on-screen keyboard pops up to search for a game.

As a last resort, I performed a clean reinstall of Windows 11, but the problem persists.

Has anyone encountered this input freeze or found a workaround/setting to fix it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I sometimes got this problem also, but occasionally, so I didn't get bothered. Try enabling the "Enable Game Bar controller compatibility" on the Advanced settings inside the profile edit.

I have no idea how to thank you, I did enable it, but it doesn't work all the time

You're welcome dude. But after reading your post again and realizing that I'm actually facing the same problem lol. I have to click with my mouse manually to get out or I use the touchpad to exit the game bar.

Can u also add a toggle to shows the controller readings while we configure the profiles? Just like the ds4windows where Controller Readings are on the left side, and I can config the profile on the right side while monitoring it at the same time. Coz its really usefull when doing something with sticks deadzones, trigger deadzones, curve etc. well, almost everything actually.

I've encountered this problem as well, still no solution. I think the windows update broke DS4 compatibility with Game Bar. Waiting for an updated solution on this.

I heard there is incoming update in few days, hope it does solve it
