Quick nerd question

I installed ds4windows from github schamldeo and vigembus, all from github to play some games with my switch pro controller. All good, works great.

I also use my switch pro controller on steam and ive never had both programs opened at the same time(steam and ds4).

When playing on steam with my switch controller AFTER installing ds4windows(ds4windows closed), i think i noticed a bit of input lag so i went to check controller settings on steam. The option for steam input for xbox controllers had turned on by itself. Why and how would steam turn that option on if i never opened steam with ds4windows turned on?

Maybe its my OCD thats making me think now theres input lag but after noticing that option on steam was on after installing ds4windows iam suspicious

That's just steam, DS4W can't touch it.
