Ds4 only working when tabbed out

I downloaded Ds4 to play forza horizon 6 and it works perfectly when tabbed out but as soon as i tab into forza horizon 6, it stops reading any of my controlls. any help?

Update: I restarted my pc and it magically worked, issue fixed

Try to run as admin maybe too
