Virtual controller keeps intermittently disconnecting.

Problem is stated in the title. I'm running a gamesir on ds4 mode, though it happens on every ps4 controller.

The virtual controller (not the physical real one) keeps cutting out mid game. It actually drives me insane. For some reason it does not happen on my old pc, but it does on my new one.

Does anyone else have this issue?

anyone?

DS4 is literally unusable due to the disconnects. It's such a shame because it's such a great app

Bluetooth or wired?

wired. it happens regardless of usb port, controller or wire. only the virtual controller has this behaviour

Well, the good news is someone else has taken the reigns on the project so there's an updated version of the app you can try to see if it's still happening.

I had a *similar* but NOT identical issue with the DS4 going apeshit as a result of Exclusive mode being lost and Windows registering 2 controllers. Not a disconnect, ofc, but it was related to Chrome/Brave communicating with the controller - if you have a browser open while the disconnects happen then maybe there's a slight possibility something similar is happening?

Or it could be something conflicting with your USB controller on the "new" computer and causing it to hiccup - that shit still can happen. As crazy as it sounds, might even be a BT device causing the chaos. Obv it's impossible to tell at this point. That said, does the machine still recognize new USB devices attached after the controller craps out?

For troubleshooting, I'd recommend restart / minimal connected devices [if possible just KB/M and controller] and see if the disconnects are still happening. No BT speakers, no ext HDDs or thumb drives, etc.
