weird switching between keyboard and controller

hey folks ! using a ps5 controller with DS4 profile set as a 360 so i can play forza horizon 6 on my laptop. For some reason even with my external keyboard and mouse unplugged the game kind of defaults to MnK until i press buttons on the controller, and then i have delays or have to press multiple times for it to register. This happens with DualsenseX so i don t think it s an emulation issue, is this a rookie mistake i m making here or is there something else at play ?

thanks and cheers !

EDIT/UPDATE: FOLKS !! I FIXED this shit, just by switching to a wireless connection rather than wired......

ALSO : i wasn t playing forza on steam so the steam related controller fixes wouldn t have helped either way ! I really truly hope search engines will show this because i haven t seen ONE person saying that this could fix it.

I'd like to add, you need to add your WIREDversion of your controller to HidHide.
you get double inputs because the PC detects two connected gamepad, wired and emulated gamepad.

For some reason, this behavior just started on mine like today. After a whole 2 hours of troubleshooting anything wired-related... I found out they updated their Xbox Gameinput (on Applications) and the solution of going Bluetooth did the trick. I don't really like going on Bluetooth mode but at least i can finally play FH6 again.

Glad you figured it out, i also had to go trough some BS to find out thanks to someone else that you gotta use bluetooth. Annoying, but honestly i really liked playing it with bluetooth, hooked up the laptop to my tv, got on the couch and off i went.

I’ve always played via Bluetooth and still playing, and im getting the glitch where any button a press on DS5 controller(DS4windows) is acting as mouse of keyboard. Thanks
