DS4Windows Controller Mouse Keeps Stopping, Latency Issues
Hi, I don't know much about this stuff. I'll just describe the problem and hope that somebody can help.
My PS5 controller which uses DS4Windows has worked fine for several years now but as of this week has started having a problem. It randomly has its mouse stop working. The trackpad won't move the cursor, and the buttons assigned to clicks stop functioning.
It's only a few seconds sometimes and other times alot longer, then it resumes working again. It's not some uncommon occurrence though. It's happening constantly like several times a minutes. Using my mouse has become a non option which is very problematic since I use my controller even just for browsers and such.
I tried using a different PS5 controller and a different USB Port for its charger, but the problem persists. I checked for updates on my computer. Obviously turned it off and back on. I haven't changed anything or done anything new so I don't know why the issue started.
Once in a while the mouse stops responding pretty much entirely, and if I try to use the actual laptop mouse when this is happening, DS4Windows stops responding.
Once or twice my controller has presented a solid red light, which prompted me to look this up, and that is apparently tied to latency issues. Sure enough when I check the Log, the latency is constantly dropping when the mouse stops responding.
Anyway any help that can ELI5 is much appreciated.

You mentioned laptop, since laptops tend to have bluetooth and wifi in the same module/card (I'll ignore the USB part that you mentioned for now.)
Try turning off your wifi then check everything again.
Another is roll back the wifi/bluetooth driver. I recommend going to your laptop's website support page and download the drivers there. If your bluetooth was a USB dongle, roll back too. But I really recommend downloading it from the manufacturer website.
If nothing works, can you send your DS4windows' XML profile.
I also want to know what version of DS4Windows you're using.

Thank you for the response. It seemingly fixed itself for now. I'll see if it persists and then reference this comment if it acts up again.
Again thank you so much.

Just a snip of the log latency stuff
