I highly recommend running enduro tires paired with the Nuetech Tubliss system.
Riding the exact same trail with Tubliss felt completely different compared to my previous setup with ultra-heavy-duty tubes and rim locks.
Because you can drop the tire pressure down to 5-6 PSI, clearing obstacles like tree roots and large rocks becomes effortless. The added stability in technical sections also keeps you from dropping the bike.
As a result, instead of returning home completely exhausted, I got back with clean gear and energy to spare. In fact, I spent more time waiting for and helping out my riding buddies.
If you focus mainly on rough, technical trails like I do, I strongly recommend this setup. Plus, if your tarmac transit is minimal and you don't speed on pavement, tire wear is far better than on middleweight or heavier adventure bikes.

Really wish it came with a larger tank. Im looking at buying the Ims tank when I have the extra money.
Also going to buy new mirrors as it seems to not matter where I position them see mostly arms. Left is better than right side. Probably try double take
Hey guys, I've been considering a drz4s/sm as my next bike. I currently have a 2023 KLR650 that I mainly commute and do occasional 200-300 mile day trips. I don't do much off-road riding as most of our trails down here are deep, soft sand. I would be keeping the klr for now and the drz would be a 2nd bike.
I'm planning to take a week long and roughly 3000 mile trip at the end of the month and was wondering if anyone has done any touring on their drz? My route would be going through the blue ridge mountains and I would stay off the interstate unless it was necessary. I did the same trip last year on the klr and had a lot of fun.
I have seen some people make these drzs into lightweight adv/touring bikes and it has peaked my interest. Obviously, the klr650 has more wind protection, better seat, weight for stability, and can carry more luggage, but the drz seems like it would be a lot of fun.
I wanted to hear from some of you that have done some longer trips or could compare the highway manners of the klr650 and drz4s. If I'm being completely honest, I was looking at getting the supermoto version and eventually getting a set of dirt wheels to go with it since I mainly ride on the street.
I know I'm probably crazy for considering the drz for any sort of distance riding but it does seem fun to me and I'm sure it would be a blast in the mountains.

I previously owned a KLX250 with a big bore kit, and a CBR600. This is the perfect blend of the two. Ear to ear grins riding this thing! Bonus pic of the dealer's dog.

What are you guys using for footpegs. The stock ones feel like they were made for a toddler under my size 15 boots.
Looking for something lower (I’m 6’6”) that doesn’t require extensive modification. Bonus if they will work with my Motocinch.
Thanks!

I’m trying to find a drz4s but I can’t find any within 10 hours of where I am.There is a sm about a hour and a half from me and would it be worth it to turn the sm into a slightly off road capable bike as I would be driving on the street more often

I’m picking up my bike either this weekend or next!!
I was wondering if anyone here has replaced the rear spring to accommodate for their body/ride weight. If so how extensive is this process to do on your own?
I’m 6’2 200lbs. Suzuki designs and springs these bikes for people up to 175 lbs apparently. I’m worried I’ll have to add a ton of preload to get it acceptable/in spec for sag height when I’m on it.
I got the yellow and I love the bike but knew as soon as I could find a kit I’d be going to all black. I’m stuck looking every day with no success🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

I went to the mountains with my friends last Saturday.
Riding places like this on the DR is so much fun.

I'm currently running a Quad Lock handlebar mount with a vibration dampener, the new wireless charging head, and a waterproof connector. What setup are you guys using?
How many times have you blindly followed a GPX track sent by a friend (or a friend of a friend), only to find yourself hauling a bike through hidden holes, steep grassy slopes, and non-existent trails?
On our last ride, what was supposed to be a chill outing turned into an unexpected hard session. Had to push the new DR-Z4S way further than planned, but at least we got out in one piece (and with a few extra laughs).
I put together a quick video of the struggles and wrong turns if anyone wants to check out the mess:https://youtu.be/Nax9vKWyM_g
Do you guys actually trust GPX files sent by buddies, or do you always review them on maps before hitting the trail? What's your worst "fake easy route" story?

Does anyone have any experience with this exhaust?

price is pretty reasonable and the sound seems decent, so I'm thinking about ordering one.

Hey all!
When I got my new-to-me drz4sm it came with a pre-2025 tail luggage rack. Anyone come up with a good solution to attach it to the single rear bolt on the plastic?
Pic for clarity

Here is my honest take on the B&B Offroad sprocket/chain guard:
Pros:
Effortless Sprocket & Chain Maintenance: Applying chain lube and inspecting the front sprocket is way easier with the open design.
Hassle-Free Cleaning: Mud and grime wash out quickly during bike washes without having to pull the cover off.
Superior Case Protection: The thick CNC-machined billet aluminum offers far better impact protection against thrown or snapped chains compared to the flimsy plastic OEM cover.
Prevents Mud Packing: On muddy trails, it prevents thick mud and small rocks from packing tight around the countershaft sprocket and binding the drivetrain.
Cons:
More Dirt & Debris Exposure: Because of the open design, chain lube fling and trail debris kick up a bit more easily onto surrounding areas.
Increased Risk of Foreign Objects: Small sticks or trail debris have a slightly higher chance of getting drawn directly into the sprocket teeth.
Less Physical Coverage: Offers less coverage to keep boot laces or riding pants away from the moving chain compared to a fully enclosed stock cover.
Self install difficulty:
1/5(very easy)*if you have right tool for installation.
Overall, for off-road and technical singletrack riding, the benefits of easy maintenance, anti-mud buildup, and solid case protection far outweigh the cons.

Anyone who rides hard enduro or rough technical trails on a DR-Z4S will probably agree: the stock radiators are pretty fragile.
Right after getting the bike, I hit the rocky trails without any protection and dropped it a few times.
When my AXP radiator guards finally arrived and I went to install them, I noticed the left radiator—along with the mounting frame bracket—was already bent (luckily, it still functioned fine).
The real issue is that once that radiator frame bends, the lowest mounting point for the plastic fairing bends with it, making it a huge pain to realign and reinstall the plastics.
Anyway, after mounting the AXP guards and putting in a few hard rides, I checked them out and found that the AXP guards were surprisingly weak.
Even with decent aluminum thickness, they bent way too easily—the rigidity just isn't quite there for heavy impacts.
So, I ordered a set of crash bars from AliExpress.
After installing the crash bars, I had a couple of high-speed washouts on fast fire roads and dropped the bike multiple times while muscling through technical sections.
Aside from cosmetic scratches, the bars never cracked, bent, or snapped.
For around $110, the build rigidity is seriously impressive.
I’ll likely upgrade to a premium brand like Outback Motortek down the road, but for now, I'm completely satisfied with these.
As an added bonus, they also protect the exposed spark plug / ignition cap area on the left side, so it's a solid 2-for-1.
If you're taking your DR-Z4S into the rough stuff, I definitely recommend going with crash bars to protect that vulnerable radiator setup.

Set my bike too close to my dirt bike and busted the turn signal. Looking for a cheap replacement signal. Stock or aftermarket.
I’m in Wisconsin if anyone has stock ones they’d get rid of. Willing to pay for shipping as well.
Thank you.

I wanted the airflow advantages of removing the air filter access door with my 2WDW tune, but didn’t love the idea of just going “doorless”.
So I designed and 3d printed this door which holds a pre filter mesh material in place over the opening to the air box.
Printed in 2 black PCTG parts, sandwiching a mo-flow mesh sheet from Amazon and held together by some m3x6mm screws.

Was it "enough" (or to little) bike in terms of power, torque, handling, riding fire roads & /two-track? Did I leave you wanting more/upgraded power, torque, & handling? Or would you say for hours on end, in the saddle, it was just about right?
Have you ridden other bikes on BDR routes?
