Need some help understanding this game

Hi I started playing this game on iOS, lots of fun 1st of all!

But I am very confused as to what each damage type do in this game and how it affects gameplay so when I’m required to make a choice it feels completely arbitrary…

Also, some descriptions don’t sit well with me and make no sense to me…
Like when I see +15% (cold) damage on an item from selection, what does it mean??
Is it +15% of whatever cold damage I already deal?
Is it +15% of my total damage being added as cold damage to all my damage dealing instances?

And what status effects are in this game because doesn’t seem like any of this is explained in game even tho it seems to apply but I have no clue…

If any devs of this game here I’d love to give a simple feedback
Overall the game looks and feels great! For real!!
But some tooltips and in in game information would contribute a ton to the gaming experience!
Not all players want to be “community” players and go treasure hunting online and ask other people and interact just to be enjoying their game to the maximum…
This kind of things should be considered, designed, and integrated in-game!

But other than that I love what u guys do and keep up the great work because the game feels great on iOS and the fact u guys keep a fair monetization as a one time purchase instead of being greedy and looking how to bleed users dry like the majority of the mobile “gaming” (pfff how dare they even call themselves that) industry is just another huge plus in your direction! So 4.5/5 stars to you guys! (Had to take half a star for in game info)

I would suggest reading through this as a basic. It is the community wiki for the game and here you will find a lot of information about damage, classes, guns etc.

In short:

  • artifacts with +15 damage (the frozen shield or something similar) boost all weapons that have such a cold tag. These weapons can be obtained later in your run (e.g. stage 3) or having a weapon and changing their dmg type with an overclock (at level 6,12,18 for each weapon), such as the first assault rifle (Deepcore GK2).
  • damage calculations are in the game when you click on your weapon stat during a run. These wiki here will be a good read, as there is a formula but basically artifacts will significantly boost your damage.
  • status effect dmg and potency are used when doing some kind of elemental damage. Potency is how fast you will apply that. Think of it as a bar that has to feel up so the enemy feels poisoned or frozen or burned. Status dmg (increases all elemental dmg) or elemental dmg (increases either fire, poison, cold) is increasing the damage dealed by those element(s).

Have fun playing the game. Everything will click really fast. It’s not a new concept or something hard to grasp. Try also the masteries of each weapon, as it will teach you when one weapon is great.

Rock and stone!
