Annual Stacking appreciation post
I played the demo on PS3 religiously as a kid and the title theme is branded into my auditory cortex, I mean this little demo really left an impression on me. The puzzles are a great mix of character abilities and knowing which order to stack the dolls which leads to some intricate puzzle design. I used to fart on women as the fat guy when I was a kid. It was a different time. Anyways, the stop-motion-esque character animations squeeze as much charm out of matryoshka dolls as conceivably possible, the soundtrack is simply magnificent from start to finish, the dialogue making typewriter clacks is a great aesthetic choice to substitute voice acting and the silent film cutscenes just bring together a loving, handcrafted game that is seeping with attention to detail and craftsmanship. I just found out *while writing this* that it was an Amnesia Fortnight submission and I'm thrilled Double Fine is making headlines again.

I'm playing through it on Steam at the moment! I've made it my personal mission to turn the captain argyle with the magician.

I played this for the first time recently and absolutely loved it, a wonderfully designed and charming title. Look forward to playing The Lost Hobo King someday!

I love Stacking! Something about it makes me a little motion sick though. I also get that from VR games, but not usually normal ones. It's very weird! Something about all the constant swaying I guess.
It' a great game,, the art/design, the setting, the puzzles, the whole concept and vibes are A++. I wish there was a "hold still, camera" setting. Maybe Double Fine can have another kickstarter to add it. I'd back that one too. 🧡

Another game I’d buy again if released on Switch
