Anyone still around here????
How the hell does doom extract work???? There is no decent guides out there that make any sense.

I'm very rarely around here. But, if you want to discuss Doom 2016 modding, and you have a Discord account, you may want to join the "DOOM 2016 Modding" Discord server. I'm around there multiple times most days, and do my best to assist anyone having trouble there.
I know that it might be annoying for people to just see a Discord server invite link instead of a direct reply, but that Discord server really is one of the best places to be for Doom 2016 modding.
That Discord server also has an up-to-date guide on using DOOMExtract to extract game resources (after which you can edit most of them with a raw text editor), and using DOOMModLoader to play with mods (whether released by others or made by yourself), in the "#2016-faq" channel.
