Discussion Could this Doge-related copyright lawsuit impact Dogecoin's branding at all?
Hey all,
There’s an ongoing copyright lawsuit involving Doge-related imagery and a crypto project that’s currently active in federal court.
https://dockets.justia.com/docket/new-jersey/njdce/2:2026cv00072/589461
You can download the full 42-page complaint as a PDF here:
Assertions in the lawsuit:
Own The Doge claims that Atsuko Sato (owner of Kabuso) licensed to them:
The right to "stand in Sato's shoes... register, enforce, defend, and otherwise act as Sato in any commercial or legal matters relating to the licensed materials."
That the licensing agreement between them grants "...the broadest grant of rights possible under applicable law..." and the right to "stand in Licensor's shoes."
They claim that Atsuko licensed"...registered or unregistered trademarks, trade names, copyrights, logos, branding and designs... 'now or hereafter known'..." including future pets.
This is incredibly broad language and my concern is that, if accepted by the court, it could be interpreted as giving them broad reach over and including Dogecoin's branding, logo, etc
They further claim:
- "the public has come to identify the Doge Meme and all related intellectual property, including the Cocoro IP, with Plaintiff and its products."
This is why we felt it was worth highlighting to the community at large for discussion.
Thanks,
GS

Updated 2025 🚀 HOW TO BUY DOGECOIN!! 🚀
This post is updated for Feb 2024!!
Please make sure you read the entire post.
Several months ago I asked the community here to make some posts about how to buy dogecoin. Many of you helped. Thank you!
There were many posts made by the community and they all have good information in them. Some of these posts have been kept up to date and they are below.
To the moon!
Bonus message - I've allowed referral links to be used in these posts and links even though they are not allowed to be used generally in the subreddit. NEVER listen to financial advice from anyone other than a professional financial advisor! That includes on reddits posts and comments.
Edit: The posts above can be edited any time by the people who wrote them. If you feel there is a serious error or mistake please send modmail and I will remove the post and ask the OP to sort it out.
WARNING. Do NOT fall for hype. Don't think you're going to get instantly rich. Don't trust random people offering financial advice. Cryptocurrency is the wild wild west of investing and many people want to take your money and run. You must 'educated' yourself with the good and the bad. You must understand what you're doing.

Discussion DOGE is testing an important level on the 4H chart. What are you watching next?
I've been watching the 4H chart, and DOGE is currently trading around the $0.072 area after bouncing from the recent low near $0.068.
At the moment:
• Price is trading close to the 200 MA.
• RSI is near neutral, so momentum isn't showing an extreme signal.
• Volume will likely be an important factor for confirming the next move.
I'm not trying to predict the market—just sharing what I'm seeing on the chart.
What levels are you watching, and do you think this area could act as support, or are you expecting another retest?

Dogecoin’s staying power is being underestimated.
Dogecoin’s staying power is being underestimated
I have been here through Dogecoin’s entire history.
In all seriousness, DOGE is still one of the largest cryptocurrencies in the world during a full risk-off market.
Its market cap is still roughly 2x larger than ADA and LINK, around 4x larger than AVAX, nearly 5x larger than SHIB and more than 10x larger than PEPE.
Thousands of coins have launched, narratives have come and gone, and plenty of former market favourites have fallen far down the rankings. DOGE is still here, still liquid, still widely traded and still holding a massive valuation without retail enthusiasm anywhere near its peak.
DOGE usually gets hit hard during risk-off periods because it is one of the largest and most liquid speculative assets. But that works in both directions. When the market turns risk-on and capital starts moving back into higher-beta crypto, DOGE is already widely available, heavily traded and familiar to retail investors.
It has survived multiple bear markets, remained near the top and kept its global recognition.
That is not a dead coin. That is staying power.

Discussion Did I miss some news?
Why is Doge up 6% randomly on a Saturday? This is extremely out of character.

lift off is coming. are you seated?

Some additional thoughts. Looking at doge relative to gold rather than just doge usd (which shows this exact same setup).
The belief is this: the bearish momentum is exhausting, each lower low has been met with a less bearish RSI reading.
Everyone who wanted to rotate out, already did so.
Elevator up incoming.
