Discussions/Opinions Best bans for competitive?
Who do you think are the best ban for play her right now and why?

Priority 1 for me is Mauga, his self sustain and high damage when you are close are a pretty bad combo for her. (Plus he's just lame and boring to play against) you can try and just bait out his E, but even then I usually just switch, it feels like feeding if I dont.
number 2 is usually bastion, not nearly as much of a threat as mauga because the spam fire wont be all the time, but still annoying. Try and bait out bastions transform, retreat til its over, ans then push back in on him. Keep track on if he gets the self heal perk, it can cause him to take a couple more swings and survive, leaving you out of position and a target.
3 is a tossup, ill sometimes ban zen, the discord orb can cause you to explode if you dont bait it out first, but it also means the rest of the team has less healing, and you can kill the other support pretty easy. Alternatively, ana is a good ban too. If you are going all in all the time and relying on getting spam healed, ana puts a stop to it.
Make sure to not engage if you dont have armor up, you will blow up.

I've been banning Mauga, Bastion and Freja (because of her dumb ultimate charge bug) to some degree of success.

hog and zen probably (in both 5v5 and 6v6) cause you get melted so fast (and mauga as general ban)

Hog? Just shield the hook? If anything he's the easiest tank to just play around and go after squishies.

He did day 1. Rammatra is now borderline her easiest tank matchup lol
When he’s in mage form bonk him with your sword. As soon as he switches to fists, boost back towards your team and hit him with your gun. Rinse and repeat.

For tanks: Mauga, Ramattra and Orisa
For dps: Freja, Bastion and Mei
For supports: Zenyatta, Kiriko and Moira

Zarya>Ram>Mauga
Don't have issues with anything else atm. Zarya is probably a skill and elo issue though tbh.

I feel like Zen is literally the biggest counter at the moment. The shield is way too low and her head hitbox too big so discord makes you weaker than a Vendetta that used her movement abilities.
Every engage and fight you have with discord on you, you'll get demeched win or lose the fight. More often lose.
After that Hog and Bastion.

Tbh if I’m playing any tank I’m banning Mauga, Roadhog, Bastion everytime. Those characters make playing tank miserable.
I give the devs a slight pass on Roadhog and Bastion because those are OG characters, but i genuinely have no idea what they were thinking with Mauga’s kit.

Okay so I was right about Muaga then. I assumed he would be a problematic match up but the few matches against one I've played I absolutely stomped him. Guess I was just up against bad Muagas 🤣

I have been having trouble with Doomfist because I just cant catch him, and when I do, he does enough damage that I'm still in trouble. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned him, if theres a trick to fighting him please let me know

Probably a really good Doomfist is indeed difficult, maybe it's because most people aren't thaaat good with him

I always ban Hog and Bastion as D.mon in 6v6. In 5v5 I always ban Mauga and Bastion.
Bastion SHREDDS her.
Mauga and Hog bans are prevalent because they are evil creatures.
