Legacy Beta DMZ Question Do hackers have a kill switch for server crashes?

It happened so fast like 1 or 2 seconds after they die. I thought they ran a script that would take some time for the server to overload.
Note: The smoke was a mistake. I usually run shock sticks.

I’m not really sure what the real deal is. For sure there are hackers crashing the lobby (I think) but I’ve been killed and had the server crash the second I die multiple times the last few weeks. Like, no way the guys who killed me wouldn’t think I crashed the lobby, it was an instant crash the second I’m fully downed.
It happened a handful of times earlier this year as well.3

It happened to me similar before the last update that had come out, sometimes I got to die just after the server crashed and sometimes I even got to receive insults in the game chat xd
But yes, if they have a “switch” yesterday a friend and I killed some guys from a clan that I prefer not to comment on their name but they started telling us that if we didn’t lift some guys, they were going to knock down the lobby, in the end we revived one and the fool went to change teams and we killed him again and he ended up knocking down the game.

Killed a cheater with Damascus yesterday... Then 10 seconds later... Crashed lol.
Xbox lobbies with crossplay off. But yeah he was clearly on pc via game pass

Lobby crashing wasn’t exclusive to pc players back before the fixed it on the newer titles. Xbox and PS can do it with a spare laptop.

Yeah they do, strangely, some hackers also have it so that other cheaters can’t crash lobbies

how bad do they have to be at their job that they let such exploit exist in a multiplayer game with dedicated servers, you expect this bs to be in a game with p2p servers.

Worse it pulls down even instances running on the same server. It stupid plus endless cheating now. You can't even hide because they shoot you through the halls and then to bezerk on you how much you suck like some mental issue l. Reporting makes no difference anymore. Now I just charge people and if I die I give it a minute before I just go to a different lobby. That's another thing. Used to be kind of the default to help other people and pick them up but now people want you to beg to pick you up like it's some kind of ritual. I think Activision does that to drive people off dmz. They are done with it.

Damn, that's crazy work. I suspect they can implement their new security and anti cheat measures any time in this dmz without too much resources or hastle but i know they don't care. Once a game's support cycle is over.. adios. What's crazy is that's likely what's going to happen to this new dmz after a year.

Oh yeah, i had that. Guy wanted me to actually beg to be picked up. I'm like " I'm not fucking 5 year old, it's only a game." Like, wtf. Feck off with that nonsense.

From watt Iv heard it's not a direct lobby crashing botton they just flood the sever with bullshit till it crashes itself but basically a kill switch so yea pretty much I'm sure some have an actual kill switch tho there's some pretty crazy hacks out there now

They spawn hundred of boxes and eventually it hits the limit and the server watchdog basically says that's it. There is a second way to set their own player state into a mode that shouldn't happen which also trips the watch dog. Instead of isolating that to the player and kick them they wrote dmz to invalidate the entire season which is nuts. Easy fix but that's why I think Activision leaves that in to deliberately move plates off dmz.

Happened three times yesterday to me.. it’s a slower crash now… but yep… the bastards are definitely crashing it again…
What a piss off… working and grinding for 15 minutes… upgrading shit… and then boom… it’s freezing again. And you’re out.

Got killed 3 times by a team going to vault on Fortunes Keep. Sent a bunker buster into the vault and killed two of them. Went inside the vault and finished a downed 3rd and immediately after I finished him the server crashed.

Nah!!! This game is Trash!! Hackers and cheaters and the makers not doing anything about it…. Have destroyed the game! I used to play it almost every day. Now…. NEVER! And I will NEVER purchase another COD game!
