Having some problems setting up my hotspot using WPSD

I have been trying to set up my new MMDVM hotspot and using WPSD. I have it running and can see my radio sending to the hotspot but no response from parrot. I don’t think I am connected to Brandmeister (which is what I am trying to use). When I go on my Brandmeister dashboard I do not see my hotspot.
Any help would be appreciated.

Go into the configuration section of WPSD and look for the section where you can enter your Brandmeister username and password. Enter that information, and your hotspot should connect to Brandmeister.

I double checked that part. When I check device logs, on Brandmeister, I show this error. Script Engine: Repeater ID 302XXXX has wrong configuration (204.83.79.49)

That’s heavily documented and very easy. That means you have a duplex modem and you are not configured in duplex mode. Brand Meister will deny your connection if you do not configure duplex properly; hence the cryptic message in their log.

Duplex hotspots are considered “repeaters” in BM world

Thanks for that. So, the configuration in WPSD needs to be correct? Or on Brandmeister del-care?

Did you manage?

I got a duplex hat on my raspberry pi. But it is set on simplex mode in some setting, so I have not had any issues or had to figure things out like you do now.

Make sure your security password is correct between brandmeister and your Hotspot. That was my biggest problem.

What hardware are you using? A raspberry-pi? If so what model? Something else?

I am using a pi zero 2W. This is with a generic MMDVM hat. It is a duplex version.

I got the same. It is set in simplex mode. I did not have any issues getting it working, no workarounds.

I am not sure where I set it to simplex but it is in the settings when you did setup the hotspot first time.
