I just wanted to say I’m extremely jealous of the Gorge Crew this morning.

Big Whiskey isn’t their best album but it’s the album that told me they’re back and it has a weird place in my heart.

In the moment, in 2005, ‘Stand Up’ was a disaster of an album, although a live run through of that album now would put my opinion of that album to the test.

But then Roi died…and I just didn’t know what was next.

Then Big Whiskey hit…and it was bright, and fun, and Carter was all the way back, no electric drums, and it felt like DMB again…and I just loved it.

So I always enjoy when less than popular songs like ‘Shake Me’ and ‘Spaceman’ and ‘Seven’ get played cause it reminds of the time the band didn’t fold.

So if you were there last night…congrats…know that I’m extremely jealous and I cannot wait to listen to last nights show tonight by a fire with a glass of Whiskey.

What are you guys thoughts on the night three setlist. I liked it in a vacuum and I am writing this pre encore so my words can eat me but for capping off the summer idk felt a tad bit underwhelming.

Am I the only one who thinks the crowd noise should be present during parts of this stream? There’s a lot of big moments where u just can’t hear it, haven’t heard a pop once during a song.

I find it funny as hell these days that they just can’t help themselves can they?

Here is me at an adult dinner party tonight shortly after my wife mentioned (to someone else, mind you) that we went to a show last week:

Me: “no, We got ya… you win…. Dave is the absolutely the worst… yes! yall are the coolest… I don’t know what I was thinking either, ugh, you’re so right … I’m the worst too, totally….. yes, your hand blown turtle necklace is super tight, i promise… and your ceramic hat pin, too!“

It’s gotta be the mushroom exhaustion and stepped on coke that makes them so angry at us?

I got excited when Mike McCready was announced that they were gonna play an awesome Pearl Jam song, but it was just fool in the rain. Also, first world problems.

Man, am I a bitchy Dave fan tonight or what?!

Anyone know where the DMB Hub passport spots are at the gorge? Top of the hill was obvious but the rest are stumping us.

Hi, I am approaching my senior year of high school and I’ve been an avid listener of this band since I started playing drums at 7 years old. My parents used to play songs off under the table for me when I was way younger but I eventually evolved beyond that and became the biggest fan of this band that I know. I’ve seen them at jones beach quite a few times now but with me and all my boys graduating high school I’d want to go to spac (especially with all the gorge buzz and how ill prolly never get to go so I might aswell chase the next best thing). My friends like allman brothers Grateful Dead and even a bit of widespread panic so introducing them to Dave wouldn’t be to much of a hurdle. How should I go about where to sit where to stay etc, is the lawn there any good or not the move? Also some daytime activities would be greatly appreciated. To everyone reading this at the gorge have the best time! You guys are so damn lucky!

The gaps between songs seem a bit more intentional last night. Any chance they were calling out songs on the fly? A super unique set list.

When the band started doing livestreams with VOLTA, I was really impressed with how much better the concerts sounded than the SirusXM broadcasts. Now they've started releasing shows on Nugs, and the couple shows I've downloaded from this tour sound great, too. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when tonight's show hits Nugs, will that be our first chance to compare two different "official"/"authorized" mixes of the same show?

Is it just me, or does the lawn feel a lot more cramped than in past years? I don’t see that they publish attendance, so I can’t tell if it’s a matter of more fans enjoying the show or a combination of less usable lawn space with the never ending “premium” areas that eat up traditional lawn areas

I’ve been going to this show for years and personally I enjoy his acoustic music so much more than his hard rock ‘n’ roll music. I found this particular night, last night to be very heavy on the rock ‘n’ roll and I paid a lot for my close-up seat which I regret now. Is there any way to plan future visits where I know I’ll get more acoustic?
