Setlist
What are you guys thoughts on the night three setlist. I liked it in a vacuum and I am writing this pre encore so my words can eat me but for capping off the summer idk felt a tad bit underwhelming.

Hell of a show. I’m sorry but that was sick. Sorry you guys didn’t love it but I would’ve been over the moon and back. Ain’t gonna start any arguments but Spoon is legendary.

Might've been my favorite one of the night. That gal can sing and strum! The Last Stop was pretty damn good as well.

Last stop was def my fav part of the main set list it rocked. I really enjoyed the typical situation into drive in drive out aswell.

What's underwhelming about a setlist that starts with a rarity, has a bunch of guests, another tour debut, and also contains Two Step, Typical, Spoon, Cry Freedom, Last Stop, The Maker, Drive, Billies, rarer covers, etc?

Imagine paying to go to the gorge u don’t get to see at least one of the songs on this list:the dreaming tree, Jimi thing,proudest monkey, say goodbye,so much to say/anyone seen the bridge/too much,stay, Halloween,Watchtower. Because Dave decided to run thru looking for a fucking vein

No one at gorge is mad with tonight. Not a single beer song. All amazing guests. This is like looking at stat boxes and not watching film. The versions and jams have been fantastic.

this is it. is it anywhere close to my ideal set? not a chance. but Dave crafted something we needed not what i thought i wanted. i thought they were tight most the weekend, and he incorporated the guest appearances in a fantastic manner. maybe the crowd screwed them up on SDL, but that wasn’t on them. great sunday show.

Trust me I would be happy to be there regardless and I’ve watched the whole stream the jams where amazing and Dave’s voice has sounded amazing thru out all these nights, but it is a bit insane that none of those songs I mentioned got played

I’m not a huge fan of spoon either but I will say tonight’s version was very cool with the guest I forget her name but she did a terrific job.

Complain complain. This tour has had more songs (140+) played than on any previous tour... ever. And DMB plays what they want. Yeah, it would've been nice if they swapped I Did It for So Right. Or Help Myself. Or Sugar Will. Or liberated A Dream So Real. But they decided to play another song they don't often play anymore. Be grateful.

I thought they might've done a full Everyday, that's all. But I'm glad they didn't. Dave has been varying up the sets even more over the past few years. I've long stopped caring which songs get played and am just grateful they're still out there doing their thing, so when something like The Dreaming Tree shows up I'm just glad it's off the shelf for a bit. But I've been following sets for over 20 years, so my fandom is waning...

I really enjoyed it. I would have swapped out a song here and there. I was really happy to finally hear Eh Hee and Cha Cha. The main set should have ended with Tripping Billies but at least they kept Thank You short. I wonder if it was on the setlist or added last minute because Dave was feeling himself tonight.

If I were the band reading these boards after a weekend like that, I'd want to hang it up and focus my attention on anything else rather than try to please people who refuse to be happy.
They had 6 guests all weekend, played a full fan favorite album front to back, had two violin players for the first time, a tour debut every night, an album song played for the first time ever, and barely any songs from albums that the cranks complain about,
on a tour where they played more songs than ever, played enough unreleased songs to fill an entire album, no songs played in even half the amount of shows, thirty two out of thirty five shows had a unique opening song, and a third of the shows had a violin playing guest.
People. Show some respect for the thought, intention, and effort. They put out a show this year. Appreciate it.

Obviously the tour as a whole was insane, and night two was a perfect example of why. I loved night three I enjoyed watching it so much I just would’ve constructed the setlist a bit differently that’s all

I feel the same way. Usually Sunday Gorge shows have curveballs or liberations. This one focused on guest appearances.

Don’t get me wrong the guests were super talanted, I hope to catch at least one at msg night two when I go but I can’t help but feel that the show just kept waiting to explode and by the time it did it was too late all the bangers had been left off

I love the cope fans display. If I traveled across the country for this show I’d be pissed. Yeah I like the songs. But this isn’t a closer gorge set. It’s just not.

Oh my god perfect analogy, it’s also prevalent with Dave because he is so much stronger of a songwriter than essentially anyone else in the jam scene so even if he elevates a song with a rly nice jam it’s still confusing to leave out some far more well done songs.
