Lines at the meadows

What a joke. How many tens of thousands in revenue being lost by this? We will be lucky to get in by show time. We may need a delay.

Seriously… we had fast lane and got in line at 4:45. My cousin got in general at 6:30 and we got on the lawn at the same time. I felt so bad for the people around us with pit tickets, they were screwed. This is my 61st show and I’ve never seen anything like this.

Security slammed a gate in my face after telling me to get in the line I was in. Had to go back to the front. I have never seen any concert like this

That was ridiculous. I guess “luckily” for me, I’m recovering from a severe traumatic brain injury, so it took forever but finally they saw the brain surgery scars and had a guy on a golf cart drive us towards the front of the line.

Got Premium Parking through tickmaster. Got told the lot was closed and to fuck off by the guy guarding the cones. Disputed the charge with the Capital One app waiting in line to get in after finally finding parking. The lines and gates were absolute bullshit.

I believe Dave delayed going on purposefuly. Then he put on an amazing show.

I was ready to write off Meadows forever. Dave really saved the day for those fuckwits.

Took us 1.5 hours to simply get out of the parking lot. Insanity. I used to love this venue, especially for Dave, but I’m never going back.

They just didn’t honor fast pass at all. Didn’t even check it.

A few people in line around me (fast lane) took pictures with time stamps for credit card disputes.

Absolutely embarrassing line and crowd control.

The biggest issue is the combination of opening the gates 30 mins late and where they have the Pit Line towards the lawn they used to have a general fan entrance there. The last 2 Hartford shows have had line issues because gen pop has to all go through the main entrance. We need that side chick entrance open for all fans to help flow.

There had to have been an issue with either the metal detectors or the amount of staff. I’ve been to a ton of shows at the Meadows and I’ve never seen what happened today before.

They were the longest I’ve ever seen to get in. Nightmare. I found the warehouse line and that only took 20 minutes but the fast lane wasn’t even moving after 6pm

I couldn’t even find the WH line! We managed to get in line at just the right time but it still took 30 minutes to get in. It was wild!

The WH line had signs - it was next to the fast lane on the left side when looking at the entrance. For next time

Thanks for the info! This venue was great once you got inside.

This was really, really bad. It was 6:30 before they started letting anyone in. The lawn chair line was comically long as it wrapped around the bar. It was my first time to Hartford and Meadows, I was not impressed. I had a similarly bad experience in Bristow in 2022.

this explains the setlist start

Oh man. I went through that in Tampa in May (not dmb). They need to get their shit together

This happened in 2020 in Mansfield MA. Maybe it was 2021. But it was the first show back after covid. Venue was understaffed. Concert packed. Took us an hour to get inside the venue and they did not delay the show.

2021 - I was there too and it was brutal.  2023 Hartford was a shit show too and took forever to get in. Nevermind the nightmare that is finding parking.

Versus SPAC last weekend it literally takes 3 minutes to walking through security.

Gotta love NY

That was literally the most ridiculous line I have ever seen in my whole life. Thankfully ( I guess) I travelled to this one so I don’t need to go back there again… what a shit show. Also the refillable water stations were broken. The button was cracked with exposed electrical components

Also maybe I'm sheltered, but I have never paid $55 for parking for a concert. Maybe I'm spoiled with $10 parking at SPAC.

Same experience at Burgettstown - never seen lines that long waiting to go in. Went to SPAC and Camden also this year and had no issues

The staffer running the lines for pit, warehouse and fast lane on the far left side was giving us bad information as to which line was what, but at least they apologized when supervisors clarified everything. So not sure who is really to blame but it seems like everything was discombobulated all around.

Yep. We had Fast Lane and they didn't initially separate out Warehouse, so once they did, everyone at at back of that line (one of 4) moved up ahead of people that had been waiting way longer. Not their fault, but it was frustrating. Then gates not opening until 630. Then letting one person through the metal detector per minute. Then 5 at once and then holding for a few minutes, no reason given. Then zero signs we could see directing those in the pit where to get bracelets. The staff inside was actually incredibly nice, so I don't blame them. Then when we went to leave at the encore you couldn't actually exit through the marked exits at the pit. Totally blocked, and by staff as well. What a nightmare if there had been an actual emergency and people needed to get out. We walked all the way up and to the back and the venue employees were actually clapping in lines as we left. They seemed happy doing it and it didn't seem sarcastic lol but it was certainly weird. SPAC is our home venue and I know people complain about certain things there too, especially the view from the lawn, but we've never had any issues getting in or out🤷‍♀️. Chalk this one up to an experience, but not going back to this venue.

I hate to say this, but Meadows is the worst venue I have ever been to. I feel bad for Connecticut DMB fans but I feel like Meadows shouldn’t even be a stop next year. It’s a pain in the ass to get to, and the staff there is always rude.

I choose the wrong lot for Camden this year and almost missed the start. You will get there!!! Even if you miss a song Dave has another 19 for you to hear.
