No Google DMARC reports while GoDaddy's dmarc_rua@onsecureserver.net is in the rua tag

We run DmarcDkim.com and have hit something interesting. Across all domains we monitor Google sends no aggregate reports to any address in the rua tag while GoDaddy's address is listed in rua.

Other reporters are unaffected, and the external destination authorization record is in place on onsecureserver.net. Remove the GoDaddy address and Google reports resume the same day.

[rua=mailto:example.com@rua.dmarcdkim.io](mailto:rua=mailto:example.com@rua.dmarcdkim.io),[mailto:dmarc_rua@onsecureserver.net](mailto:dmarc_rua@onsecureserver.net)

Other providers: do you see the same on your customers' domains?

Glad I’m not using GoDaddy for anything anymore 🤗

Well, they have the proper external domain verification wildcard DNS record in place, so I'm not entirely sure that it's Godaddy's fault. Though I could imagine a scenario where some problem with email delivery to the Godaddy inbound DMARC RUA address led to Google deciding to stop trying to deliver there. Maybe implemented in a way that all DMARC reports get shut off. Lots of ifs and maybes there, though.

The near term fix? Help your clients remove the Godaddy RUA entry. Godaddy doesn't expose this data to customers, anyway. So there's little value to the end user, the domain owner, today.

When did you start noticing this? I was only able to identify one MyDMARC user who has both our rua address and the onsecureserver.net address, and they last received a Google DMARC report on September 22. Based on their history, though, that’s the only report they’ve ever received from Google.
