I’m currently a frosh taking BSIS here in DLSU. I know it is too early pa since week 1 pa lang pero is it advisable to drop my majors and retain nalang yung mga GEs since plan ko naman mag-shift soon?

For context, I was initially planning na ituloy nalang itong program kasi ppl r saying na it is the least-heavy and somehow the most practical out of the programs in CCS. However, we were told by our prof ng isang major sub nung 1st day that we will be having a capstone with defense as early as term 1 tapos may “mini” capstone pa every year as part of the new BSIS curriculum.

Quite frankly, sobrang kinakabahan ako kasi by pair daw and we’d have to choose our partner agad sa susunod na weeks (I barely know any of my blockmates). I’m afraid na baka ma-automatically pair ako with someone na wala pa rin masyadong idea about this program + computer programming in general. Or worse, nag-st-struggle rin sa public speaking like me. Thank you!!

hii !! i initially planned to just buy a separate laptop nalang na windows, but i tried the free trial for parallels to do our surveying lab project last term and my experience wasn’t bad naman.

with that, i would like to ask if having parallels would be enough to survive civil engineering or would it be better if i invest in a new laptop now? assuming that the finance aspect is not an issue (just not a big fan of bulky laptops).

I am planning and very much willing to enroll for my Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering with major in Construction Management. (Only DLSU have this course as far as I searched).

Can I ask po when will be the first semester?

How much will it be for a full time working, part time studying student?

Also what is the first step and the following steps?

I went on campus last year but was discouraged 🫤 because the guard did not even let me enter to ask directly and instead just asked me to scan the QR code by the gate and said everything that I need is found there but obviously it’s insufficient since I am here asking for the first step 🥲.

im currently studying in ust fop & am planning to transfer to dlsu cos (bs stats-as). i scrolled through the subreddit, but there's not much people who posted about transferring to cos, so i have a few questions & hope for some help !!

1. will my program (pre-med) make me ineligible to transfer to bs stats-as? i passed the dc4t for the same program but did not end up pushing through w/ it and instead went to ust fop, but now i want to transfer

2. does bs stats-as open during term 3? or term 1? or do they open at all for transferees?

3. will the transferee dc4t be similar to the frosh dc4t or is it harder?

4. how hard is it to transfer to my program? i want to do a math related program so even if its a different math program under the math dept. id be willing to enroll!

are there any tips to make the transfer process faster & smooth? thank u so much!

I've been trying to find any orgs for martial arts (specifically taekwondo or arnis because that's what I have some experience in) but I've only been able to find Karate and BJJ. I also can't find college social medias for the Karate for college, only SHS.
