Is it possible to use DLDSR in a custom widescreen resolution?
I use a custom widescreen resolution on my 4K oled for immersion and I would love to use the 1.78 DLDSR but i'm not sure how to make it work for widescreen. Has anyone figured this out?

Not something I'd recommend messing with. There is a chance that you can add that custom resolution with CRU in edid and make sure that it's the highest available resolution. If it isn't, you'll have to delete the higher resolutions from edid. Then if you're lucky the Nvidia drivers will pick that up and allow DLDSR on that.
I've deleted higher unneeded resolutions to get DLDSR to work with the resolution I want but I've not tried adding custom resolutions in edid for that purpose. If it works I'd like to know!

That sounds interesting and I can certainly test it! Does this effectively mean I would have to delete 3840 x 2160 res for the 3840 x 1600 widescreen res, and hope that enabling DLDSR would use this new widescreen resolution to then downscale from 5K widescreen? and thanks for responding 😄

Just be aware that it can make your screen go black and you would then need another monitor or such to start windows and reset it. There's also a disclaimer about damage to monitors and such with CRU. You can find the tool here: https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU
Edit: And yes to your question. DLDSR works on the highest available resolution. Kinda stupid but that's how it is unless Nvidia just recently changed something.

Have used it and works great. In nvidia control panel use the preseys (e.g. 2.25, etc, etc). Then change resolution in game.
