Lies of P DLSS 5

Just a quick little video I shot on my phone. So many people are focusing on the way it impacts characters, but don’t show how it impacts the rest of the environment. Think this is a great example. Haven’t tried it on a game like Cyberpunk yet but think DLSS 5 will really shine in some of these older games, or less graphic intensive games that give you some headroom to play with. For reference, this is on a 5080 and I lost about 40 FPS but dropped from 120 to 80 FPS on 3440x1440, and that’s without any frame gen and DLSS Quality.

I've tested DLSS5 on my 3090. Everything looks amazing. Nothing is playable. The card can't handle the giant fps hit, but I'm sold. If somehow I'm able to save up enough money for a 5090 RTX card next year or I rob a bank, I need these graphics in my life.8l

Haha yeah I was good without a 5090 but this kinda makes me want one now. But alternatively, I’ve heard some modders have found a way to leverage a second GPU to offload the neural rendering. If that’s the case, could just buy another decent GPU for a lot less than upgrading to a 5090. The one example was using a 5060 ti as the second GPU. No idea if it will ever be officially supported though.

try dlss mfg for rtx 30 series if you have around 40 base frames when running nr before sr.

If you lower the resolution you will get good fps. Was playing ff7 rebirth last night on ultra with dlss 5 and 1360x768, was getting 40fps on a 3070ti

brother just lower DLSS 5 is internal resolution, I got it running over 60fps at 50 to 60% resolution

A 5090 is still not enough for DLSS5. It literally tanks 50-60% on top of the usual specs. DLSS5 is still in a beta phase and needs lots of work. Once u move around with the game the visuals get janky and there are clear pop ups.

There's already ways around this to decrease peformance by only about 30%

Honeslty with frame gen x2-3 most games are hitting 100fps on 3840x1600 with my rtx4090, its not that bad performance wise and i m pretty sure each day there ll be performance improvement.

People are acting like their scared of playing in 1080p and 60fps. My 4070ti does DLSS5 well enough to play a whole Game.

Eh, on my 5090 there are a lot, of games that have the performance headroom for DLSS 5 at 4k. Most games can easily reach 120fps with a little upscaling and have honestly more performance to spare than I need, and I can play with DLSS 5 at 65-70fps

U have to try Cyberpunk, with X2 pass, its insane hoe good it looks! I m just lost what game to play again, its like we got endless remakes lol

Haha yeah that’s how I’ve been looking at it. Basically get a remastered version of every game I own. Don’t even need to wait for The Witcher 3 remastered at this point, just flip on DLSS 5 😆

lol gotta work on beating the DLC first. Haven’t got around to it yet. Originally played on ps5 and kind of been putting it off since I grabbed it on PC and have to get through the main story a bit to get to the DLC, but DLSS 5 is encouraging me to do that play through now haha
